Aissikul Selfdelve: a review of an ice-look dildo

on

The Aissikul Selfdelve is a dildo that looks like an ice cube. And I’m not talking about the little cubes of ice you keep in the freezer to put in cocktails. It’s more like a jaunty stalactite, the sort you might find in a polar region, in the heart of an Alpine glacier, or in the Snow Queen’s palace.

Pale translucent blue, with white swirls, it has a touch of fairytale magic. It could have grown in a magical cave, after a few centuries of star-dust particles accumulating.

You may already have spotted this dildo in a photo in our cheeky Advent calendar. As winter approaches, what better way to warm up than with a fairytale-like ice-stalactite sex toy?

Sex toy packaging

The packaging is a beautiful cylindrical metal box. No extra case is included, but you can keep the box to store the sex toy in. It has a simple look and isn’t too bulky.

Although the packaging is wonderfully stylish, its contents are eco-friendly. In fact, the Aissikul comes with just a small cardboard leaflet.

What the Aissikul Selfdelve looks like

The Aissikul Selfdelve has the shape and appearance of an ice cube. Translucent and icy pale blue, it seems to have diffuse white clouds floating inside. A stalactite or stalagmite made of ice, depending on which way you hold it; either way, its base is wider than the part you insert. It’s very beautiful.

It measures 19 centimetres long. Its shape is rather conical, and it’s very thin at the tip.

You can get a suction-cup version for six euros more, with the standard version of the dildo costing 79 euros.

The brand also sells a pink version in the same shape, called “Unicorn Horn” (the unicorn’s horn).

Texture and materials

Despite the sex toy’s icy appearance, it’s made of particularly soft silicone. This material is body-safe, odourless and tasteless.

Flexibility of the Aissikul Selfdelve dildo

Using the Aissikul Selfdelve

With its flared base, which can act as a stopper, this ice-cube dildo can be used for vaginal or anal penetration, as you prefer.

It’s really very smooth, and glides easily with a little water-based lubricant. What’s more, its thin, very soft tip makes for gentle, very gradual insertion. You start with a very narrow diameter, which gets wider as you push the dildo in, without any angles getting in the way.

This is an especially gentle sex toy, and its ultra-soft texture is a real pleasure.

Selfdelve Aissikul: an ice-cube dildo

With its ice-cube look, the Aissikul Selfdelve is an absolutely gorgeous dildo. But its beauty isn’t its only selling point: two other qualities make it a sex toy worth checking out. For one thing, its texture is much softer than that of most of the toys in my sex toy box. And for another, its conical shape encourages gentle insertion.

I really like this sex toy. It’s become one of my favourites, and now proudly sits on my bedside table.

Whether you’re looking for your first dildo or the umpteenth sex toy to add to a huge collection, if you like the look of the Aissikul, don’t hesitate to get one. You won’t be disappointed.
