La marque Autoblow, behind the Autoblow 2 blowjob masturbator we reviewed, has created a sex toy that uses artificial intelligence to take care of your penis. The Autoblow AI is a masturbator that has learned to give blowjobs thanks to a machine learning algorithm.
Indeed, this sex toy watched hours and hours of porn in order to understand and learn human blowjob techniques. Its deductions? A blowjob is made up of 16 key movements. Not to mention the element of surprise, which it will also be capable of providing.
To recreate the sensations of a blowjob, the Autoblow AI has a microcontroller and a multitude of sensors. These control a clamp, which manipulates the sleeve of the masturbator. On the menu, ten modes, each of which promises a different oral sex experience.
Brian Sloan, inventor of the Autoblow AI, agreed to answer our questions.
Have you tried the Autoblow AI?
I tried the device dozens of times throughout its development cycle, which took us more than 3 years.
How would you describe the sensations?
The sensations are excellent. I find that the Autoblow AI truly captures the nuances in the techniques that a man feels when a human partner gives him a blowjob. In particular, our special modes that start and stop, and can bring you to the edge of orgasm then stop before you have a chance to come.
What is the difference with a non-AI masturbator?
First of all, there are very few mechanical or electronic masturbators on the market at present. And our innovation lies as much in our mechanical design as in the artificial intelligence we used to create the movements it imitates.
The difference is very easy to understand. Our sex toy moves like humans, while other electronic masturbators move with stupid, non-human movements, created without much attention to reality.
First, we invented a motorised system, this clamp that is capable of transferring humanoid movements to the penis. Then, thanks to artificial intelligence, we were able to determine what these human movements are, and we programmed them into the device. So, the Autoblow AI doesn’t give blowjobs the way we wanted it to, but it gives blowjobs based on our AI research into how humans do them.
The difference is both physical and psychological for users.
A few years ago, you organised a contest for the most beautiful vagina. Is the vaginal sleeve of the Autoblow AI modelled on the winner’s vulva?
Indeed, yes, we will continue to use our 3D scans from the world’s most beautiful vagina contest to create sleeves for this machine.
I hadn’t mentioned it yet, because I didn’t want to mix the concepts. We are trying to share our achievement as the first brand to use artificial intelligence in a sex toy, and we didn’t want to make the message confusing.
Why is there a sort of giant cucumber in the press release photos? Is it a giant cucumber? Where did you find it?
Actually, it’s a type of melon that grows in China and South-East Asia. I bought it at a Vietnamese market in Berlin. I used it in my video to represent a giant penis. We had a laugh before filming the video and I decided to take a few photos with it.
I figured the media would like this big melon, so I sent it in our press release.
Do you think the Autoblow AI and love dolls could be combined to create the perfect sex robot?
That’s an interesting question. I’ve met the owner of RealDoll, Matt McMullen, several times at his office. And we discussed the possibility of putting one of our machines inside one of his dolls at some point.
He told me something that surprised me: people buy love dolls more for companionship than for sex. I asked him, for example, why Harmony, his doll equipped with artificial intelligence, was programmed to talk, rather than to fuck. He replied that his customers found the interaction more important than the sexual part, even though they certainly have sex with the dolls.
So, yes, it’s possible, but not very simple, and it’s not clear that there’s a market for it.
Will there ever be an Autoblow for women? If so, what will it look like?
I’m experimenting with advanced robotics with a view to designing a sex toy for women, but I’m more comfortable in the men’s market.
I also think that my marketing style suits men better. If I tried to sell to women the way I sell to men, I would have no customers.
