Kit Wanderful Dorcel

Dorcel Wanderful Kit: a multi-attachment wand

on

The Dorcel Wanderful Kit is a rechargeable wand. Basically, an ultra-powerful vibrator that you apply to the clitoris for high-speed orgasms. But what sets this sex toy apart is that it comes with two additional attachments.

The first one, the penetrating one, focuses on G-spot or anal stimulation, while the second turns the sex toy into a rabbit.

A multi-purpose vibrator can hold both good and bad surprises. So, is it a lopsided case of overkill, or the ultimate blissful combo? What’s the Dorcel Wanderful kit actually like?

Packaging

The box, black and gold, half cardboard, half transparent plastic, is disposable.

Worth noting is the inclusion of a satin pouch, large enough to hold the sex toy and its two attachments. It’s a nice touch to have somewhere to store the thing.

Look of the Dorcel Wanderful kit

For once, Dorcel seems to have abandoned its tacky designs. The Wanderful and its attachments have a rather understated look.

There’s just a touch of gold at the base of the wand, and apart from that, everything is black.

Texture and materials

The wand and its attachments are made of silicone. No danger to the body, and no smell.

The handle has a raised grid pattern that helps it stay in the palm of your hand without slipping.

Powering the Dorcel Wanderful kit

The vibrator in the Wanderful kit is rechargeable. Its cable, which plugs into a USB port, has a jack connector on the sex toy end.

I find this type of connector rather impractical. You never know if you’ve properly connected the sex toy, if the plug is only halfway in, or if you’ve just broken it.

The battery life is quite short: one hour, at most. The sex toy stops abruptly when the battery runs out, with no prior warning. Which can be frustrating.

Controls and modes

The sex toy has an awful lot of vibration modes. If I’m to believe its official description, it supposedly has 8 intensity levels and 20 vibration modes. That said, I can’t manage to count them.

It’s far too many, and it’s a mess trying to navigate them. For a start, you don’t need that many “novelty” modes, with interrupted, jerky or wave-like vibrations. Generally, you can play with them for five minutes, then you settle on the constant modes, which are more effective.

Moreover, here, the essential functionality is missing. Indeed, navigating between the constant modes is a real pain. When you switch the sex toy on, you start on the most powerful constant mode, and you’re pleasantly surprised: the vibrations have real punch, especially for a start.

But what follows is nothing but disappointment. After that, depending on which button you press, you’ll cycle through:

  • Either progressively weaker vibrations. Then, once you’re at the lowest, the intensity starts increasing again back to the initial level.
  • Or “novelty” modes, which are less effective. And if you’ve cycled into these novelty modes, good luck! You’ll have to get through 20 of them to get back to the initial constant mode.

And to top it all off, the controls are hard to locate by touch, their raised surfaces being so difficult to distinguish from the handle’s pattern. In short, you frequently press the wrong button.

Effectiveness of the Dorcel Wanderful kit

At maximum power, the Wanderful kit’s vibrations are quite decent for an ultra-powerful corded vibrator. Without breaking any records, they’re sufficient to get you there.

However, the moment you touch the controls, it becomes an absolute mess, and it completely kills the mood.

the wand and its rabbit attachment

But as long as you use the vibrator staying on the first mode, everything’s fine. It’s still a bit of a pain to have 19 useless modes, or even annoying ones if you stumble across them after a misstep!

As for the additional attachments, it’s an interesting idea, but one that would benefit from a more refined implementation.

the wand and its G-spot attachment

One of the extensions turns the wand into a rabbit. It proves to be fairly effective, but its clitoral attachment loses a good portion of the vibrations along the way. It occasionally detaches if there’s too much lubricant around.

The other can turn the wand into a vibrating anal stimulator, or a small G-spot vibrator. It lacks a certain rigidity, and it’s difficult to insert without it trying to slip out.

Conclusion on the Dorcel Wanderful kit

The good points:

  • At maximum power, it’s a fairly powerful vibrator.
  • The interchangeable attachments allow you to vary the uses of the sex toy.

The bad points:

  • The controls are absurd, and the excessive number of modes makes them impractical to use. It spoils a lot, making this vibrator more annoying than exciting to use. You’d think this vibrator had never been tried by a human being before it went on sale!
  • The attachments could do with being more refined. Their concept started from a good idea… But the “rabbit” attachment loses a good portion of the vibrations, while the one intended for the G-spot or anal use is too floppy. Both tend to detach if things get too slippery.

Dorcel Wanderful Kit

With sex toys that are more understated than before, having abandoned the traditional fuchsia colour, Dorcel is trying to build a more sophisticated image. But looks aren’t enough to design a good vibrator.

The Dorcel Wanderful kit clearly lacks thought about what makes a sex toy practical or absurd. Its controls seem designed entirely on a whim, and you’d think nobody ever tried them to check their usability before deciding to mass-produce it.
