The Glassvibrations Lila is a small glass sex toy in purple, made up of a flat base and four “balls” arranged in an arc. We have had the opportunity to test it.
The Glassvibrations brand
Glassvibrations is a glass sex toy brand whose name doesn’t evoke much at first glance. It can nonetheless be found in many online sex shops, with a wide range of good-looking toys at affordable prices.
Among its catalogue, we recently tested the Teufelszunge, a dragon-tongue dildo with an unpronounceable name, which left us with a good impression.
Packaging of the sex toy
The Lila’s packaging is very neat. It is a thick cardboard box, with a transparent plastic “window” on the front, allowing you to see the sex toy. In this case, the glass sex toy rests on a well-padded satin cushion and is held tightly against it by fasteners (two elastic bands and two ribbons).
A soft cloth storage case is also included.
Look of the Glassvibrations Lila
The Glassvibrations Lila is tinted, but fairly lightly. Depending on the lighting, it appears purple (lilac, as its name suggests) or sometimes even colourless.
It is made up of a flat base and four “balls” of glass, aligned so as to form a slight arc.
Its dimensions are fairly modest: 15 centimetres long, 14 of which are insertable; it’s not Godzilla’s dick, but it’s still within the average human phallic size.
The sex toy appears to be made in one piece; there is no trace of a “joint”.
Under the base of the Lila, we notice a seal applied by the brand: “GV – High quality” (at the same time, it would be very surprising to come across a product bearing the “low quality” label one day...).
Texture and material
As with all sex toys from the Glassvibrations brand, the Lila is made of borosilicate glass.
It is a type of glass that is non-porous, safe for the body, and very resistant to thermal shock and chemical reactions. This material is used, among other things, in the manufacture of dishware that can go in the oven (Pyrex dishes).
All the same, it is best to refrain from trying to prepare a roasted sex toy. As its instruction leaflet specifies, the Lila must not be put in the microwave… In case this strange idea might cross your mind, avoid it. But it should go through the dishwasher without any problem.
However, for a “classic” clean, water and soap are enough… But if you prefer to wash your glass sex toy with your plates, that’s possible! And you can soak it in boiling water if it needs disinfecting, if you are lending it, for example.
The other precautions to take, recalled on the packaging, are quite obvious. You must check before use that the sex toy is not damaged (no cracks or chips), and you must not mistreat it, drop it, or insert it at the same time as other hard objects that could damage it. And don’t use what-the-fuck techniques to warm it or cool it, like dry ice or a puddle of molten lava.
As for sturdiness, if you have read our review of the Teufelszunge, you may have come across the video found on Glassvibrations’ website, in which a guy has fun driving a nail with a sex toy from the brand… That said, I wouldn’t try to do the same.
Using the Glassvibrations Lila
One of the advantages of glass sex toys is the possibility of playing with temperature variations. To do this, simply leave the Lila for a few moments under the tap, under hot or cold water, as you choose.
For my part, I prefer to use it after passing it under hot water. The feel of the glass, warm and very smooth, is then particularly pleasant.
Its rigidity, combined with its surface devoid of any roughness, allows it to penetrate easily, without any tightening caused by sudden contact with an object that is too cold, which makes it a sex toy particularly suitable for anal penetration.
You can safely insert the glass sex toy gradually, one ball after another, its wide flat base preventing any “toy stuck in the anus” incident.
The Lila and the Fleshjack Jason Visconti
In vaginal penetration, the Lila inserts easily, not even requiring lubricant. Natural lubrication is enough to make the glass surface very slippery.
Conclusion on the Glassvibrations Lila
The good points:
- It’s a glass sex toy, with all the advantages of this material. It is non-toxic, easy to clean and disinfect, aesthetically pleasing, etc.
- Its shape and modest dimensions make it a good anal sex toy.
- Its price is very reasonable: less than 30 euros.
The bad points:
- It is fragile: for a glass sex toy, that’s obvious and unavoidable. It therefore won’t suit all uses. It won’t be very portable, among other things.
