9Some ultra-powerful vibrators, there are a few to suit every taste. More or less rough, corded or cordless, and more or less luxurious. When it comes to class, the magic wand Le Wand holds up rather well. With its pearly white handle edged in rose gold, this big, super-powerful rechargeable clitoral vibrator has no shortage of style. But what about its effectiveness? In order to be able to tell you, I felt I had to try it out.
Here is my review of the Le Wand vibrator.
Sextoy packaging
The packaging, a nice thick cardboard box, is pretty and very presentable. Classy, sure, but you’ll probably end up throwing it away in the end.
However, a black fabric storage case is included. It’s certainly less stylish than the metal box of the Doxy Die Cast 3R, but probably more practical for transport.
Look of the Le Wand vibrator
The Le Wand vibrator measures approximately 35 centimetres long, and its head has a diameter of 6 centimetres. It is almost entirely white, pearly for the handle and matte for the head, with, between the two, a trim of rose gold. It is understated, but the kind of understatement that comes across as rather chic. Without going overboard on the frills, it’s far from ugly.
Texture and materials
The body is made of rigid plastic, while its head is made of rather firm silicone, a body-safe and odourless material.
Powering the Le Wand
The Le Wand is, therefore, rechargeable. Its cable, rather chunky, has a proprietary connector on the toy end. It plugs directly into the mains, and adapters for compatibility with plugs in many countries are included. Admittedly, most people will only use one, but it can be a rather handy advantage for those who travel a lot (even if, given its dimensions, it’s not exactly the most portable sex toy around).
Controls and modes
The Le Wand has 20 vibration modes, each of them coming in 10 intensity levels. As for the power levels, they range from ‘still rather strong’ to ‘ultra-mega-buzzy’, with the transition between one level and the next remaining quite subtle. As for the controls, the toy has three buttons: two ‘+’ and ‘-‘ buttons to adjust the power, and a central button to switch modes. With one constant vibration mode and 19 fancy ones, that’s a lot — too many fancy modes. Having that many isn’t exactly useful, but it’s easy to not get stuck in there; just leave the central button alone.
In short, I find the Le Wand’s controls quite simple and intuitive. Worth noting that it also has a lock function.
Using the Le Wand
The Le Wand is the kind of vibrator you can use just as well on your own for a lazy pre-sleep masturbation session or for a handjob frenzy with other sex toys accompanying it, or with two or more during heated, active lovemaking. Unlike an air-pulse massager like the Womanizer or a mini-vibrator, there’s no need to constantly pay attention to its position or its controls — just leave it roughly in place and it does the job brilliantly.
When it comes to power, wow… It’s impressive, it packs a punch, even more so than the Doxy Die Cast 3R, which says it all. Its maximum power level is well above that of quite a few corded vibrators (not all, for example the Doxy Die Cast or the Fairy Turbo always outperform it, but they’re not many in this case). Orgasms come on super fast, and they stack up at will.

Conclusion on the Le Wand vibrator
The good points:
- The Le Wand vibrator is pretty, understated and classy, and gives an overall impression of quality.
- It’s super-mega-powerful, even more so than quite a few corded sex toys – truly impressive for a rechargeable one! Its effectiveness is formidable.
The bad points:
- It’s fairly expensive: nearly 70 euros.
Review score
Pros
- Super-mega-powerful
- Pretty and classy
- Overall impression of quality
Cons
- A bit pricey
If you’re looking for a rechargeable, stylish and super powerful vibrator, the Le Wand is probably one of the best choices you could come across. Its only drawback is the price, which is fairly high. But if you can afford it, go for it and treat yourself – you won’t regret it.
