Le Lelo Mona 2, a vibrator focused on G-spot stimulation, is one of the brand’s best-sellers.
Lately, LELO has been doing some properly bizarre things… For example, launching the Pino, a cockring designed for bankers, complete with a money clip and cufflinks. I hope it’s an April Fools’ joke (what? it’s December?) in the style of the Dextrüs, a “sextoy for right-handers” (prank) presented by the brand last year.
Otherwise, a host of questions come to mind… Are you allowed to buy it if you’re a bank cashier, or do you have to be rich enough to need a money clip? Are they also planning to release a dildo for HR directors and an anal plug for estate agents? When choosing the name of the device, did nobody notice that “Pino” sounds like “pine”?
Anyway… As for LELO, I’m going to focus on more… classic sex toys. That’s why the Lelo Mona 2, preceded by its reputation, caught our attention.
We’ve tried it, and are going to share our opinion with you.
Here is our review of the Lelo Mona 2.
The Lelo Mona 2 packaging
On the packaging side, no surprises, and no disappointments either. LELO has got us used to a certain level of quality, and it lives up to it once again.
There’s the cardboard box characteristic of LELO packaging (I can hardly ever bring myself to throw these boxes away, which is starting to become cumbersome…), as well as a black satin storage case.
The sex toy
Appearance of the Lelo Mona 2
The LELO Mona 2 comes in three colours – all three in a pink-purple shade: “cherry” (fuchsia), “red” (fuchsia leaning more towards red) and “purple” (violet). We received the “red” version.
Its shape is reminiscent of that of the LELO Ina 2, minus the “rabbit-like” clitoral branch. A fairly short white handle, extending into the insertable part, first very slender, then wider and very curved.
Texture and materials of the vibrator
The Mona 2’s handle is made of ABS plastic, rigid and very smooth, while the insertable part is made of pure, firm silicone with a very soft surface – materials that pose no risk to the body.
The vibrator is entirely rigid.
Power supply
The Mona 2 is rechargeable, thanks to a supplied charger. It’s the same for all of LELO’s recent “little” vibrators: if you have (for example) an Ina (1 or 2), a Smart Wand Medium, an Ora, a Tiani or a Lyla, it will therefore be compatible with that one.
Charging takes (roughly) an hour, for a stated two-hour runtime. Although we didn’t time it, this estimate seemed credible to us.
It is presented as waterproof. Notably, its charging port is carefully covered by a plastic cap, and the edge of its control buttons has no gap likely to let water seep in. I used it in the shower without moderation, and have not noticed the slightest problem.
The sex toy’s controls
Just as I was mentioning the controls, let’s talk about them in more detail. They are quite standard and very intuitive, and are identical to those of the Ina 2.
The Ina 2 and Mona 2 vibrators from LELO
They consist of four buttons:
- “+” switches the sex toy on, then increases the vibration power
- “-” lowers the power until it switches the sex toy off.
- Two “up” and “down” arrows allow you to navigate between the modes.
Vibration modes
The Mona 2 has six vibration modes, with power adjustable as desired:
- The “standard” continuous vibration mode: this is the one I use three-quarters of the time, manually varying its power as my desire dictates.
- Two pulsation modes, the second faster than the first.
- Two modes in which the intensity varies progressively and regularly: in “sawtooth” and “waves”.
- A random mode.
Use
Vibration power
The first time I switched on the Lelo Mona 2, I was rather surprised… “Oh yeah, it really does vibrate properly hard”… Then I realised I hadn’t yet turned it up to full power.
The vibrations are not as rough as a Fairy’s, but they are at the level of the Smart Wand Large’s. To top it all off, they are judiciously distributed at the tip of the sex toy, exactly in the area that will be either right up against the clit if used externally, or at the G-spot if used for vaginal penetration.
Clitoral use
With the tip of the Mona 2 pressed against my clit, I have time to count about thirty seconds before I climax. In short: it is effective… Very effective, even.
Vaginal penetration
The Mona 2’s shape is ideal for stimulating the G-spot: when you insert the sex toy, its tip ends up exactly in that area… and the vibrations, too, are perfectly placed.

Conclusion on the Lelo Mona 2
The good points:
- It vibrates hard, very hard…
- Its shape is ideal for G-spot stimulation.
- The vibrations are well distributed throughout the sex toy: they are most powerful at the tip, exactly in the area that comes against the clitoris (in external use) or the G-spot (in vaginal penetration).
- Its build quality seems very good overall: it is solid, waterproof, made only from healthy materials, and shows no visible defects.
The bad points:
- I find it hard to find a bad point about the Mona 2… Ah yes, maybe the colour choices: purple, or pink, or pink, that doesn’t really leave any non-“girly” options.
