The Man Wand is a vibrator for men, of the “wand” type.
While ultra-powerful wand vibrators have been primarily aimed at women’s clitorises up until now, their use on penises is nothing new. Numerous porn videos bear this out, as does a post on the forum of Objets De Plaisir.
What sets the Man Wand apart? The shape of this sex toy, which adapts to the anatomy of a penis, makes it possible to apply vibrations around the entire glans.
This device is not, however, the first vibrating sex toy for men. The Cobra Libre by Fun Factory actually predates it. This “vibrator for the wee-wee” having piqued my curiosity, I decided to put it to the test.
Sex toy packaging
Nothing special on the packaging front, it’s a cardboard box. However, a fabric storage pouch is included.
Look of the Man Wand
Black in colour, the Man Wand resembles a classic cordless “wand” vibrator. The difference being that its head is fitted with a sort of “penis gripper”, which seems to have been grafted on to create a Frankenvibrator.
But rest assured, this appendage is flexible and doesn’t pinch.
Otherwise, its look is fairly neutral.
Texture and materials
The coating of the Man Wand is made of pure silicone, an odourless material that is safe for the body.
Its handle is rigid, its neck is flexible, and its head is firm on the “classic shape” side and very soft on the “penis gripper” side.
Power supply
The Man Wand recharges via a jack-type cable, which plugs into a USB port. A standard micro-USB would have been preferable, but it’s not the end of the world either.
It is fully waterproof.

Controls and modes
The controls consist of three buttons:
- a round one, to switch the sex toy on and off,
- waves, to cycle to the next mode,
- vertical bars, to adjust the vibration intensity.
The Man Wand has no fewer than 20 vibration modes, each of which comes in eight levelsof intensity. Twenty, that’s a lot…
Too many, in fact. Once you’ve found the mode that suits you, if you accidentally press the button that cycles to the next one, you have to go through 19 iterations to get back to the right one.

But in the end, the first one, the constant mode, is the most effective.
Principle of the Man Wand
The Man Wand can be applied, at your choice, to the glans, to the shaft, or used in a back-and-forth motion along the penis, as you would with your hand to masturbate. It propagates vibrations as it moves.
A good amount of lubricant is advisable to make the sensations more pleasant.

Effectiveness of the Man Wand
The vibrations of the Man Wand are fairly powerful, but less so than those of the Fun Factory Manta. Furthermore, its “gripper” doesn’t enclose the penis as tightly. In that respect, I find it less effective. That said, the use and sensations remain fairly similar.
Now, if I can reach orgasm without any trouble with this vibro-thing, for my part, I am, nonetheless, not a big fan of vibrations on my wee-wee, to which I far prefer “manual” masturbation.
However, what I appreciate about this sex toy is that you can choose at will the area on which you apply the vibrations, while maintaining sufficient access to the penis to be able to “stroke” it with the other hand. In that respect, vibrations can constitute a complement to the sensations, rather than the entirety of the stimulation.
Otherwise, in terms of noise level, it’s not a quiet vibrator, but it won’t wake the neighbours either.
Conclusion on the Man Wand
The good points:
- The vibrations provide different sensations.
- This stimulation can be done as a complement to manual masturbation, without having to choose between the two.
The bad points:
- It is slightly less powerful and slightly less well designed than the Fun Factory Manta.
