Njoy Fun Wand: Review of a stainless steel dildo

Espace Libido let us try out the Njoy Fun Wand, a stainless steel dildo. The Njoy brand is also behind the Pure Plug and the Pure Wand.

This metal sex toy is designed for several uses. One end is mainly intended for vaginal penetration, while the other is more for anal stimulation.

As the Njoy Pure Plug is currently my favourite anal toy, I was really excited about meeting its big brother.

So, here’s my review of the Njoy Fun Wand dildo.

The dildo’s packaging

The Njoy Fun Wand’s box looks like the Pure Plug’s, only bigger.

It’s made of very thick, very sturdy cardboard. The inside is lined with pink satin fabric covering padding shaped to fit the sex toy. So the dildo doesn’t budge an inch once the box is closed.

This box makes for a sturdy, practical and attractive storage case, but it is a tad bulky.

Appearance and dimensions

As I mentioned in the introduction, both ends of the Njoy Fun Wand can be inserted.

The wider end, with its single ball, is mainly intended for vaginal penetration. The other end has three metal “droplets” of increasing size, which make their intention to enter an anus one by one abundantly clear.

The Njoy Fun Wand is quite long (20 centimetres), but very slim. Its largest ball measures 2.5 cm in diameter, and the smallest 1.5 cm. The sex toy’s “shaft” measures 1 cm in diameter and narrows towards the anal balls.

Texture and materials

Like all Njoy sex toys, the Fun Wand is made of stainless steel.

 

This material has many advantages:

• It’s very sturdy; breaking it would be quite a feat.
• The sex toy is very easy to clean with soap and water. It doesn’t really react chemically with disinfectants, and if necessary, it can be sterilised perfectly by boiling it, for example.
• It’s compatible with all types of lubricant (water-based, silicone-based, oil-based, etc…).
• The Fun Wand heats up or cools down very easily under the tap. It lets you play with temperatures without too much effort.
• It’s hypoallergenic: surgical steel is used to make medical instruments and piercings because allergies to this material are extremely rare.

The surface of the sex toy is very smooth, with no visible flaws; you only need a small amount of lubricant to make it really slippery.

The Fun Wand dildo is “reversible”: you can choose to insert either end.

In the photos above, the end of the Fun Wand intended for vaginal penetration is on the left, and the one intended for anal penetration is on the right.

Vaginal penetration

Because of its curved shape, the Fun Wand struck me as an interesting accessory for stimulating the G-spot. And it is, indeed.

 

It’s not easy to handle: you have to hold it firmly in the right position so its head hits the right spot (otherwise, it tends to tilt to the side). And at first, that’s tricky, because with the lubricant… it’s slippery. But you soon get the hang of it.

Once positioned correctly, the sex toy’s rigid, smooth head hits the G-spot beautifully. Stimulation is most effective when you insert the Fun Wand with the single-ball end, as this end is wider and nicely rounded.

I quickly reach an intense orgasm this way, with a clitoral vibrator as well. It’s enjoyable the other way round too, but a little less effective.

I particularly appreciated how quickly and effortlessly the sex toy can be warmed up. A quick rinse under the hot tap, just long enough to wash it before use, and the metal becomes pleasantly warm.

Anal penetration

The end with three little “droplets” in a row is better suited to anal penetration. This curious shape makes it possible to insert it gently into the anus.

The first of these “droplets”, the smallest, tapers towards the tip, allowing it to be inserted gradually and without difficulty. At 1.5 cm in diameter, it’s slimmer than the Small-sized Pure Plug, which measures 2.5 cm in diameter.

Then you come back to the very thin shaft, giving your bum a chance to recover from the excitement, until you reach the second ball, a tad bigger than the first, which also widens very gradually. And then the same again for the third.

The other end can also be used for anal stimulation, but the sensations are different. It’s better suited to shallower insertion.

The diameter of its rounded part is almost identical to that of the Small-sized Pure Plug. And although it’s wider than the other end, it’s far from intimidating.

Conclusion on the Njoy Fun Wand dildo

The good points:

• The Njoy Fun Wand is attractive and comes beautifully presented in its box.
• It’s versatile and works just as well for G-spot stimulation as for gentle anal penetration.
• You can easily change its temperature without much effort, simply by holding it under the tap.
• All the other advantages of surgical steel, which I listed earlier (sturdiness, hygiene, no chemical reactions or allergies).

The bad points:

• It’s a little difficult to handle at first, but once you get the knack of stopping it from tilting when you don’t want it to, it becomes very easy to use.

In short, the Fun Wand is a really lovely dildo: attractive, sturdy and effective. Basically, I like it a lot.
