The Espace Libido shop has sent us the Pipedream Ceramix n°3 dildo, a a ceramic sex toy in red, black and white, with a slightly curved shape.
Ceramix is a new range from the brand Pipedream, which delivers across all sex toy registers.
Currently, this series, subtitled “Pleasure Pottery”, or “Poterie de Plaisir” in French, comprises twelve ceramic sex toys. As for names, these sex toys bear simple numbers, from 1 to 12.
The dildos and anal plugs included in the series are characterised by being hollow and fitted with a stopper. Indeed, you can fill them with water, hot or cold, to play with temperatures.
Here is our review of the Pipedream Ceramix n°3 dildo.
Packaging
The Ceramix n°3 box, made of cardboard, is mainly decorated with visuals of the object. As a storage box, it can work, but it is not ultra-classy.
Admittedly, this packaging is not ugly, but it still has a “disposable” look. And it is a slightly bulky box compared to the modest size of the dildo.
Like those from the series Icicles (the glass sex toys from the Pipedream brand), in their boxes, the Ceramix sex toys are surrounded by very dense foam, carved to fit the object’s shape. This foam prevents any movement and protects them effectively from impacts.

The sex toy: a hollow ceramic dildo
Appearance and dimensions
The Ceramix n°3 is quite small, for a mini-dildo. It measures 14 centimetres in total length, with an insertable part of around 12 centimetres. Its diameter varies, depending on where you measure it, between 2 and 3.5 cm.
Featuring a circular, flat, thin base, it is straight enough to stand upright in a fairly stable way without any problems. Its silhouette, made up of two “bulbs” linked together by a thinner zone, leans generally forward.
It is tri-coloured: white, black and red, unusual and refreshing shades in the all-pink world of sex toys.
Texture and materials
As its name suggests, the Pipedream Ceramix n°3 dildo is made of ceramic. The term “ceramic” is fairly broad; it refers to almost everything made of fired clay, regardless of firing time or clay composition.
Therefore there are various types of ceramics. A note on the packaging specifies that the ceramic that makes up the sex toys in the Ceramix range is non-porous. It is therefore probably stoneware or porcelain.
Like glass and metal, ceramic is a very good conductor of heat. This is why the sex toy is hollow and fitted with a stopper. Indeed, this allows it to be filled with water in order to vary the temperature of its surface.

The stopper
The stopper on the Ceramix n°3 dildo, which is made of silicone, is a bit of a faff to put on and take off. But at least, it doesn’t risk falling off on its own. That’s a good thing, because I don’t really want my dildo to start squirting mid-action.
It’s not 100% watertight. The moment you apply a little pressure, or when the sex toy is standing upright, it loses a few drops. Overall, the moisture level is quite acceptable for comfort, but any use of a corded vibrator at the same time as a water-filled Ceramix is best avoided.
Removing the stopper
Temperature play
To play with heat or cold using a Ceramix sex toy, simply remove the stopper and fill it with tap water at the desired temperature. Then all you have to do is replace the stopper and use the sex toy.
As soon as the dildo is filled with water, you can immediately feel that its surface has changed temperature. The water contained in the sex toy keeps this new temperature for a long time – or at least, greatly slows down its cooling if you filled it with hot water / its warming up if the water is ice-cold, compared with a sex toy that has merely been placed under water for a few moments.
Using the sex toy
According to its official presentation, the Ceramix n°3 is specially designed for anal pleasure, but it is also suitable for vaginal penetration.
Vaginal penetration
The first time I used the Ceramix for vaginal penetration, I had brought it into the shower with the Smart Wand Medium from Lelo, without thinking to bring any lube with me.
Despite this, I had no difficulty inserting it. On the one hand, it is small; on the other, the ceramic surface is particularly smooth, and with the tiniest bit of natural lubrication, it glides without effort. It is a very pleasant texture.
Using it this way, the base of the sex toy makes a good handle, which I close my fingers around to manoeuvre it properly and tilt it so that its head, curved towards the front, presses against my G-spot. The stimulation is effective, and with the vibrations in addition, I reach orgasm quickly.

As an anal plug
For anal penetration, the size of the Ceramix n°3 dildo seems a bit more substantial… But, once again, its perfectly smooth surface and the shape of its tip make insertion easier.
The flat base may suggest using it as a plug. That is, the object is inserted into the anus, but remains in place. This use feels rather limited in my view, as it’s impossible for me to sit down with it, and walking is possible but not very comfortable. But using it on all fours, for example, is quite feasible.
Well, on the other hand, it’s completely out of the question to use it filled with water, as a plug, while trying to keep it discreet under your clothes… Unless you like walking around with a wet arse …

As an anal dildo
As an anal dildo, the Pipedream Ceramix n°3 is a little harder to handle: from behind, with your bum in the way, firmly holding its base to make it go back and forth is a bit uncomfortable for your fingers and wrist.
Despite this detail, it is nevertheless very effective. It slides perfectly, and indirectly stimulates the G-spot, by exerting firm pressure on the wall between the anus and the vagina.

Conclusion on the Pipedream Ceramix n°3 dildo
The good points:
- The Pipedream Ceramix n°3 dildo is completely suitable for temperature play. Simple to use, all you have to do is fill it with cold water to get a dildo that stays cool for a good quarter of an hour. The same goes for hot water, if you prefer a nice hot sex toy.
- Its extremely smooth and very slippery surface: you can insert it easily, even without lubricant.
- Its shape is very effective for stimulating the G-spot, whether directly through vaginal penetration, or indirectly during anal penetration.
- Its look is original and aesthetically pleasing.
The bad points:
- The stopper’s joints are not 100% watertight, so a few drops leak out.
- Its “handle” is not very practical to hold firmly during back-and-forth movements when used anally.
The Ceramix n°3 dildo is an original and pretty sex toy that can be used both vaginally and anally.
Admittedly, it is not perfect, its main drawback being the lack of watertightness of its stopper, which means a few drops of water leak here and there. But the properties of the ceramic are particularly well exploited in this sex toy. Without any high-tech gadget at all, you end up with a little dildo whose temperature can be varied at will, and whose slippery texture allows easy penetration.
