Rabbit Fifty Shades of Grey Greedy Girl: the review

on

The least one can say is that the Rabbit Fifty Shades of Grey Greedy Girl isn’t exactly the type of sex toy likely to inspire me. I haven’t read a single book in the franchise, let alone watched any of the films – the whole BDSM thing, I tell you. As far as I’m concerned, Jamie Dornan is the hunter who saves Snow White in Once Upon a Time – in short, a man who isn’t exactly fascinating, but still more likeable than Crisp Grey. And to top it all off, when it comes to vibrators, I’m not a big fan of rabbits.

Rabbit Fifty Shades of Grey Greedy Girl: the review

In English, “Greedy Girl” means a greedy, eager girl. Even the name of the thing does everything it can to put me off. “Greedy!” is the sort of exclamation you’d expect from a lout who suddenly fixes you with a leering stare while you’re peacefully eating a banana in the corner.

But I had to sacrifice myself to give you my opinion. After all, even if it doesn’t appeal to everyone, the racy trilogy has plenty of fans. If you’re one of them, or if this big, G-spot-focused rabbit has caught your eye, you might want to learn more about it.

Despite my many preconceptions about it, this sex toy pleasantly surprised me. Under its disguise as an underwhelming BDSM accessory, the Crisp Grey rabbit really packs a punch. Here’s my review of the Rabbit Fifty Shades of Grey Greedy Girl.

Packaging of the Rabbit Fifty Shades of Grey

The packaging is a cardboard box, with a bit of plastic inside. The unit we’re testing here is a bit dated, but a more recent version has revisited the packaging to do away with that layer of plastic.

A red satin storage pouch, bearing the Fifty Shades trilogy logo, is included. This pouch isn’t ultra-original, but it has the merit of being large.

Look of the Rabbit Fifty Shades of Grey

The Rabbit Fifty Shades of Grey has rather a look of an old-fashioned rabbit, even if it spares us the fuchsia pink à la Sex and the City, pseudo-BDSM inspiration being what it is.

We received the black version, but gold and silver variants also exist.

“Fifty Shades of Grey™” is printed in large letters on the handle of the sex toy. If you were planning not to acknowledge the brand, you’re out of luck.

Texture and materials

The insertable part and the clitoral rabbit of the sex toy are made of silicone. Its handle is made of rigid plastic.

Power supply of the Rabbit Fifty Shades of Grey

The Rabbit Fifty Shades of Grey is rechargeable. Its cable plugs into a USB port and features a proprietary connector on the sex toy end.

Naturally, I managed to lose the cable. We had a bit of a struggle finding a compatible one, but we did manage to track one down. It’s certainly not the most common model, but if you lose yours, buying a charger from the same brand won’t be essential.

Controls and modes

The Rabbit Fifty Shades of Grey has two buttons. The smaller one controls the clitoral rabbit vibrations, and the larger one, those of the insertable part.

You switch on the vibrations of each branch of the sex toy by briefly pressing the corresponding button. At first, I found this a bit unintuitive – or at least, unusual, but you get used to it fairly quickly. Single presses then allow you to navigate between modes. The small button alternates between three intensity levels for the rabbit, while the large button, with two directions, lets you navigate between 12 modes – three constant and nine patterned – for the G-spot part.

A long press on either of the two buttons switches the thing off.

Using the Rabbit Fifty Shades of Grey

The Rabbit Fifty Shades of Grey is very powerful, much more than I expected. It has two motors, one in each branch, and each of these motors vibrates hard. The clitoral stimulation is intense. Meanwhile, the sort of ball that forms the head of its curved insertable part exerts firm pressure against the G-spot while also vibrating very strongly there.

The thing has a fairly wide diameter. To insert it, you’ll need to arm yourself with water-based lubricant. Beforehand, you can also vibrate the large head of the insertable branch against the clitoris to build up the heat.

Conclusion on the Rabbit Fifty Shades of Grey

The good points:

  • Its shape stimulates the G-spot very effectively.
  • Its vibrations are very powerful, particularly at the clitoral rabbit end, which really packs a punch.

The bad points:

  • It’s rather ugly, or at least kitsch.
  • The 50 Shades franchise: if you’re not a fan of the trilogy of novels or films, you feel a bit ridiculous wielding a sex toy that’s a priori rather reserved for fans. It’s a bit like the sex toy equivalent of walking around in a Twilight T-shirt when you couldn’t care less about pale-skinned vampires.

Review score

Rabbit Fifty Shades of Grey Greedy Girl : le test
6 .8 / 10

Pros

  • Powerful vibrations
  • Very effective on the G-spot

Cons

  • Kitsch look
  • For fans only

Despite its kitsch look, or at least its being reserved for fans, the Rabbit Fifty Shades of Grey Greedy Girl is very effective, with powerful vibrations and a shape that suits G-spot stimulation to perfection. If you loved the fifty-shades trilogy, it will probably delight you. But if not, you’ll probably find another sex toy more suited to you.
