Lovehoney let us test the Maverick dildo from Vixen Creations. We’ve already tried several sex toys from this brand. Their common trait: a texture that’s remarkable for its realism.
After the Goodfella, the Mustang and the Johnny, we’re now tackling a VixSkin dildo with substantial dimensions. Indeed, the Maverick’s measurements are impressive, while still being credible for a human penis.

Sex toy packaging: understated and minimalist
The packaging, understated, is a transparent cylindrical box made of plastic. By way of decoration, the brand’s logo and its presentation.
This box is sturdy and can be used to store the sex toy safely. However, it’s a bit bulky. It’s a shame that no more practical storage case is included!
The look of the Vixen Creations Maverick: a very large penis
The Vixen Creations Maverick dildo looks exactly like a very large penis. Its total length is around twenty centimetres, with an insertable part of 18 centimetres. Its diameter is 5 centimetres.
Its base is flat and fitted with a suction cup.
It’s monochrome and available in three “flesh” colours with different pigmentation: “Flesh Pink” (pale dick), “Flesh Tan” (tanned dick) and “Flesh Brown” (black dick).
Texture and material: hyper-realistic and body-safe!
The Maverick dildo is made of VixSkin, a material patented by Vixen Creations and used in all their realistic sex toys. This material combines several types of silicone to achieve different densities within a single sex toy.
Thus, VixSkin allows the Maverick to combine a firm core, thanks to which it maintains a stiff, straight erection, with a soft surface and a glans that’s all “cushiony”, just like a real penis.
VixSkin poses no risk to the body. Indeed, it’s made of pure silicone.
The only constraint: stick to water-based lubricants, as silicone-based ones can damage the sex toy.
A word on lubrication
The Maverick dildo can only be used with a sufficient amount of lubricant. Without it, insertion becomes virtually impossible. I know I’m repeating myself, but it’s a very large toy.
Don’t panic, though — once lubricated, thanks to its soft, cushiony texture, the toy slides in without a problem after a bit of warming up.
The extraordinary texture of the Vixen Creations Maverick
From there, everything is similar to an interaction with a real (large) penis. The glans, in particular, is exceptionally realistic to the touch, so soft and so supple.
Right, you’re going to say: a phallic sex toy that looks a lot like a dick, what’s so surprising about that? But compared to an “ordinary” realistic dildo, in terms of texture, it’s day and night.
And we’ve actually had the chance to compare it with various toys of this type, realistic silicone dildos that are quite nice in their own right, notably: the Fleshjack Jason Visconti, the Tantus Max O2 and the Tantus Gary O2… Well, next to the Vixen Creations Maverick, you can see just how firm they are, far too firm… It’s hard to go back to them after trying several Vixen sex toys!
The flat suction cup base
As for the Maverick’s suction cup, its grip isn’t strong enough for the sex toy to hold on a vertical wall in all circumstances, but it helps maintain a stable, upright posture, even during turbulence.
The fairly flat shape of this base allows the Maverick to be used in a harness with a ring attachment system. Just make sure that the ring on the harness in question is wide enough to hold a sex toy with a 5-centimetre diameter.
Conclusion on the Vixen Creations Maverick dildo

The Vixen Creations Maverick is a very realistic dildo.
Its look is quite successful, but it’s the dual-density texture that makes it unique. Indeed, it’s enough to put any conventional silicone sex toy to shame. You can really feel the difference — even with your eyes closed, it’s nothing like the others, and it’s significantly more pleasant to use.
Unfortunately, this extraordinary texture comes at a price. Indeed, like the other Vixen Creations sex toys, the Maverick is more expensive than an ordinary dildo. But it’s a sex toy investment you won’t regret.
