The We Vibe Bloom are connected geisha balls. They are used for sexual arousal, but also for muscle building or rehabilitation of the pelvic floor.
Their distinctive feature: one of the two balls unscrews, and is interchangeable. You can then choose between three balls of different weights, numbered “1”, “2” and “3”.
Dorcel Store agreed to send them to us so that we could test them.
So here is our review of the connected geisha balls We Vibe Bloom.
Packaging of the geisha balls
The We Vibe Bloom geisha balls arrive in a cardboard box thick, padded with foam. The packaging is sturdy and looks rather nice, but it won’t be biodegradable if you want to throw it away.
A fabric storage case is also included.
Appearance of the We Vibe Bloom
The Kegel balls We Vibe Bloom have a coral pink shade.
A silicone “tail” extends the largest ball and will protrude from the vagina: this is the cord, which will make it easier to remove the Bloom, but will also act as a Bluetooh antenna, like the one on the Lush by Lovense.
The second ball is screwed onto the first. Once the two balls are fixed together, the gap between them is rather discreet.
Texture and material
The surface of the sex toy is entirely made of medical-grade silicone, except for a small ABS plastic ball at the end of its “tail”.
Powering the sex toy
The connected Bloom geisha balls are rechargeable, using a proprietary charging cable. On the sex toy side, the cable port is hidden between the two balls, so you need to unscrew them to plug it in. On the other end, you’ll need an available USB port, or a smartphone charger.
Controlling the We Vibe Bloom
The We Vibe Bloom geisha balls switch on using a button, located on the ball closest to the cord. But then, to control them, you’ll need to connect them to a smartphone.
The We-Connect app
The We Vibe Bloom are controlled via a smartphone, using theWe-Connect app.
This app, available for free on Google Play, lets you control all of We-Vibe’s connected sex toys.
During use, it blocks the phone’s screenshot feature, “for security reasons”. No doubt an excess of caution on We Vibe’s part following her issues with the We Vibe 4 Plus. So I won’t be able to show you who it resembles, which is a real shame.
To connect the geisha balls to the smartphone, you need to make sure you’ve turned on Bluetooth. Open the app, then pair the sex toy with the phone by holding down its button until it emits three successive pulses.
Solo use with the app
For solo use, via the We-Connect app, you can:
- Switch between existing vibration modes, and adjust their intensity.
- Or create new modes, by recording sequences that can last up to two minutes.
The app includes ten predefined vibration modes : classic vibrations, regular pulses, wave, ‘echo’, ‘crest’, ‘bounce’, ‘tide’, ‘surf’, ‘peak’, ‘cha cha cha’.
Newly created modes are added to the initial list.
Using them together at a distance
To play with the We Vibe Bloom Kegel balls remotely via the internet, both partners must, of course, have installed the app.
It has a button Connect a lover, which lets you invite your partner to take or hand over control of the sextoy.
The invitation can be sent by email, instant messaging or SMS. The app asks for confirmation before sending it, and no social networks are involved, so there’s little chance of a social blunder. Or at least, the risk is as low as accidentally sending a sex text to your great-aunt.
However, once the invitation is accepted, you have to expect a bit of faff to get it all up and running, because its instructions lack clarity.
It’s worth noting thatyou can only register one lover at a time in the app. Well, for use by a couple, this is absolutely not a problem. But I’m thinking in particular of cam girls, who might consider lending out the controls of their sex toy to a paying admirer. For such a use, the We Vibe Bloom Kegel balls don’t seem particularly practical. At least with the app provided. I’m not sure if there’s any alternative software that allows them to be repurposed.
The remote controls for the sex toy are the same as for solo mode. They also add a chat and a video chat. With a stable connection, the lag is quite low. In short: everything works correctly, despite a few ergonomic flaws.
Noise level
As for the noise level: it’s not very loud, but in a quiet place, you can hear them vibrating. In a club, no worries; at a restaurant, it’s fine if the place is noisy, but at the public library, best to avoid it.
Effectiveness of the We Vibe Bloom
Like all geisha balls, the We Vibe Bloom are not designed to make you blow a gasket on demand, but simply to maintain a state of arousal.
However, their vibrations are powerful, and you can play with the variations in rhythm and intensity, as well as thesurprise effect. The whole thing helps to provide subtle arousal, all in a playful way.
The upper ball is interchangeable, with three different weights. This allows you to choose the weight that best suits your anatomy, and possibly, for example if you are working on pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation, toprogress over time without having to buy a new sex toy.
Conclusion on the We Vibe Bloom Kegel balls
The good points:
- Everything works correctly. If we consider all the dodgy connected sex toys we’ve had to deal with, that’s already a big plus.
- The three interchangeable balls allow the Kegel balls to fit every body, and the wearer to progress her pelvic floor exercises over time, by increasing the weight if she wishes.
The bad points:
- The We-Connect app has a few usability issues.

Despite a few usability issues in their app, the We Vibe Bloom Kegel balls constitute a connected, pleasant, functional and fun sex toy.
You might be disappointed that there’s no feature to perform Kegel exercises. This is still the primary function of Kegel balls, while the Bloom simply act as a connected vibrating egg. That said, nothing stops you using them to tone your pelvic floor. But they don’t offer any fun features at this level.
