Adult games and board games are often seen as incompatible. The prospect of strip belote or a dildo-Scrabble gives me the shudders.
Admittedly, a multitude of games trying to reconcile you with the painful memory of games of rami with Aunt Hortense by adding a touch of eroticism exist and are commercially available. But that’s not the subject of this article. The internet is full of ideas for do-it-yourself adult games; let’s explore them.
Naked Twister
The rules of Twister are very simple: you have a mat with coloured circles, and a wheel for drawing a colour at random.
A player spins the wheel, then all the players must touch a circle of the colour chosen by chance. Players who touch the mat with a knee or an elbow, or who fall on the mat, are eliminated. The last player on the mat wins.
The erotic variant is to play Twister completely naked. Optionally, add extra rules, for example:
- No touching: if two players touch, they are eliminated. This complicates the game quite a lot, and leads to fairly short games. Especially if only two people are playing, in which case you often end up tied (losers or winners) ex æquo.
- Define areas of the body you are not allowed to touch.
- Getting dressed as the game progresses: when a player makes a mistake, they are not eliminated. But all the other players are allowed to put a piece of clothing back on.
Strip Chess or Draughts: classic board games turned into adult games
As variants of Strip Poker, the rules of Strip Chess and Strip Draughts are quite simple. In these chess and draughts games, any player removes a garment every time they lose a piece.
Dice: simple, but effective
You may already have come across these “erotic” pairs of dice, where one is for drawing a supposedly sexy action at random, and the other a part of the body. The whole thing can lead to results that are not necessarily that sexy, like “nibble an elbow”.
Right, these dice rarely cost a fortune, but on the one hand, you don’t necessarily have them to hand if you suddenly feel like playing this game. And on the other, it can be nice to choose the possibilities yourself, to avoid spending the evening tickling your nose.
First option: associate each face of the first die with a part of the body (1 – the torso, 2 – the arse, etc…) and each face of the second die with a verb evoking an erotic action (1 – kiss, 2 – lick, etc…).
You can also designate a sexual act for each combination of numbers that can be obtained. You can use a printable template to write your own rules. But otherwise, a simple piece of paper may be enough. To avoid having to define 36 dares, using the total score obtained limits the number of possible combinations (only twelve possibilities), while adding differences in probabilities between the various options.
You can do the same with playing cards, designating, in the same way, a dare for each combination of cards.
Naughty Scrabble
You can incorporate into a Scrabble game a list of dares to make your partner carry out, depending on the score obtained.
Some variants that can be applied to the rules of the game:
- You can impose a lexical field (for example, only accept words with a more or less erotic connotation). This complicates the game, but having to demonstrate that one of the words you have just placed truly has an erotic connotation can make a fun dare. Think twice before writing “slipper”.
- In order to avoid a request that is too awkward, a player can refuse to carry out a dare, but their opponent gets 10 extra points to choose an alternative dare (which must not be on the same theme as the previous one, otherwise it’s cheating).
- You can use a timer to determine the duration of the dares.
Roughly the same dares can be used to play Risk, Boggle, and virtually anything, provided it involves a score. Just apply the right scale.
Erotic Monopoly and Femdomopoly
Erotic Monopoly is played like classic Monopoly, by associating an erotic activity with each square on the board. And here is a printable template for writing down the dares, as well as examples of dares.
When a player owns a square, if an opponent stops on that square, they must, in addition to the stop tax, pay the dare associated with that square.
As for Femdomopoly, it’s a variant (with a… particular aesthetic taste) of a Monopoly… but in the femdom version. These are more advanced adult games, and the dares do go a bit far. To be reserved for experienced BDSM enthusiasts.
