The Body Wand Aqua, like the corded models from the brand, is a clitoral stimulator, whose particularity (as you might guess from its name) is being waterproof. is being waterproof. being. waterproof. ultra-powerful vibrators are among my favourite sex toys. Their concept certainly isn’t new, but when I use them, I know I’m almost guaranteed to orgasm, and without the slightest effort – and that’s already pretty good.
Eager to finally be able to use a Body Wand in the shower, I was very keen to try it out. review of the Body Wand Aqua.
Packaging of the Body Wand Aqua
The packaging is a simple cardboard box, illustrated with photos of the sex toy. It’s quite comparable to that of the Fairy and other Body Wand models.
The sex toy
Appearance
The Body Wand Aqua fits the typical model of the ‘magic wand’ vibrator. It’s a sex toy shaped like a microphone. Its handle is white, with metalised ends, and its head is fuchsia pink.
If I were to rank the ultra-powerful vibrators in my drawer by beauty: it’s prettier than the Fairy, but uglier than the Smart Wand by Lelo.
Texture and materials
The handle of the Body Wand Aqua is made of rigid plastic. But its head and the buttons on its controls are covered in really soft silicone. The head is rigid, with a flexible neck, orientable in any direction.
Powering the Body Wand Aqua: batteries
I expected to be dealing with a rechargeable vibrator, but that’s not the case. The Body Wand Aqua is powered by three LR6 batteries. These batteries are not included. not included. included. Three batteries is quite a lot… If you want to alternate rechargeable batteries so you can use it at will, you need a pretty big stock… The first time, to get it going, I had to borrow a battery from one of the flashes that He was using to photograph the thing.

Water resistance
The Body Wand Aqua is advertised as waterproof. And judging by its name, you could even assume that’s its main selling point. So I decided to take it with me in the shower to judge for myself. So far, after many showers and as many washings with soap and water in the sink, it has held up well, and shows no signs of oxidation.
Using the Body Wand Aqua
The sextoy’s controls
The handle of the Body Wand Aqua has three buttons: a “+”, a “-” and two arrows chasing each other’s tails:
- The “+” turns the sextoy on and then increases the vibration intensity.
- The “-” decreases the vibration intensity, until it turns the sextoy off.
- The arrows let you switch to the next mode, and the one after, and so on, until you come back to the first one, in a loop.
Vibration modes
The Body Wand Aqua has 8 modes:
- a constant mode,
- pulsations at varying speeds,
- a “waves” mode,
- another in “sawtooth”.
The modes are well done. They’re not just basic on/off alternations of “vibrates”, “doesn’t vibrate” – the vibration intensity varies gradually. gradually. The increase or decrease in vibration when you press the “+” and “-” buttons also seems to happen smoothly. At least, I haven’t noticed any steps. That’s a good thing: changes that are too abrupt in the vibrations sometimes tend to bring the excitement down.
Effectiveness
The Body Wand Aqua is powerful, but not quite as much as the Fairy Lithium… In terms of vibration intensity, it would be more comparable to the Smart Wand Medium by Lelo.
Like the latter, being able to use it in the shower is really appreciated. That’s actually what I’ve put it to use for, preferring to keep more powerful ammunition such as theEurope Magic Wand, the Body Wand original and my collection of Fairy near my bed.near my bed.
near my bed.
Conclusion on the Body Wand Aqua
- Ultra-powerful vibrator Body Wand Aqua
- The good points:
- It’s waterproof.
Its vibration modes are well designed, with gradual changes (not in steps) when increasing or decreasing the vibration intensity.
- Its vibrations are powerful.
The bad points: It needs batteries to work. It’s a shame though that it’s not rechargeable. And that’s why I prefer the Smart Wand Medium by Lelo.
