The Fairy, a Japanese-style pink and white vibrator with the look of a Sailor Moon wand, is famous for its phenomenal power. The Fairy Lithium is the rechargeable version of this sex toy.
I had already tested the Fairy Mini, corded, with particularly strong vibrations. I was therefore wondering about the power of the vibrations of the Fairy Lithium, which is battery-powered and therefore more practical.
Here is my test of the Fairy Lithium.
Fairy Lithium packaging
The sex toy arrives in a pink cardboard box, fitted with a transparent plastic “window”, so the sex toy can be seen. I threw this box away after unboxing.
A storage case, also pink, is provided. It is roughly the same as the one for the Fairy Mini, made from a thick, fairly fluffy fabric.

Appearance of the Fairy Lithium
The Fairy Lithium, pink and white, seems straight from the kingdom of unicorns and little ponies. Even more than the Fairy Mini, as it even has a logo featuring a fairy, a butterfly and stars. It’s a bit like the Polly Pocket of sex toys.
Let’s be honest: it’s not exactly ugly, but I wouldn’t go so far as to call it pretty. Too pink. And square.
It looks more like a toy imitating a magic wand than a “real” sex toy. Even so, after hearing about it and reading various reviews that uphold its reputation as a legendary vibrator, you end up recognising it from a distance.
It’s shorter than the Fairy Mini, but its head is identical, both in appearance and dimensions.
Texture and material
The Fairy Lithium is made of ABS plastic, a material that is rigid, phthalate-free and presumably safe for the body.
Its head is hard, but smooth, and can tilt very slightly on its axis when you press it.

Charging
The Fairy Lithium is rechargeable. That is its main difference from the Fairy Mini.
The battery is a rechargeable lithium battery. According to Wikipedia, this is a fairly robust type of power supply.
The advertised charging time isone hour, for a run time of 20 to 30 minutes.
This may seem a tad short, but in the end, each time you use it, you don’t leave it on for very long. For an ultra-powerful vibrator, 20 to 30 minutes of run time means a fair number of orgasms.
Originally, the charger seems to have been designed to fold. But the removable plug that allows it to be plugged into a European socket sticks out and prevents the whole thing from folding.
Controls
The Fairy Lithium is switched on and adjusted using a scroll wheel located on its handle, which acts as a potentiometer. You gradually increase or decrease the intensity of the vibrations.
Using the Fairy Lithium
Noise level
As for noise level, it is a little less noisy than its corded version, but it remains in the category of not-at-all-discreet vibrators. A closed door is not enough to hide the racket it makes. Be careful not to disturb your neighbours’ sleep if you have very thin walls.

Handling
I found the absence of a cord really convenient in certain situations.

For a quiet bit of masturbation before going to sleep, the Fairy Mini’s power plug wasn’t a problem for me.
On the other hand, when using it for two, in the heat of the moment, we had already run into some issues. Things like having to move our tryst spot a few metres because the power outlet was too far away. Or the vibrator unplugging mid-action because we had stretched its cable too far.
With the Fairy Lithium, no plug, so the problem is solved… provided, of course, it has been properly recharged.
Effectiveness
Like any good ultra-powerful vibrator, the Fairy Lithium, once applied to the clit, with a little lubricant if needed, allows you to have an orgasm in a very short time.
It is still a little less powerful than the plug-in Fairy, but more powerful than the Body Wand Midnight (which, however, is also plug-in).
Practically speaking, for my part, although I did notice the power difference in question from one Fairy to the other when pushing them to the maximum “to see”, in real use, my clit wasn’t affected by the nuance in question. I reached orgasm pretty much at the same speed with both models.
To the touch, just as visually, the heads of the two vibrators are identical, same texture, same shape, same size.
And for the near-instant orgasm so much promised by anyone who will talk to you about a Fairy, there is no need to push the device to its maximum… Even if that constitutes a sort of tempting “challenge”, one I occasionally dare to take on. The Fairy Lithium already has far more than enough to work with.

Conclusion on the Fairy Lithium
- It’s very, very powerful, and provides orgasms almost “at will”.
- It’s rechargeable, so it’s convenient.
Cons:
- It’s quite noisy, and not really gorgeous.
- It’s not waterproof.
As for me, I really struggle to choose my favourite vibrator between the Fairy Lithium and the Fairy Mini…
Having a nasty habit of seeking out the most powerful vibrator possible, my curiosity naturally turns to the Mini, but I must admit that the Lithium is far more practical and simpler to use, with almost identical performance.
In short, if you’re torn between the Fairy Lithium and the Fairy Mini: if you absolutely want to have the most powerful of the two, choose the Fairy Mini. Otherwise, get the Fairy Lithium.
The Fairy Lithium is an excellent vibrator, in any case. If you’re not (yet) part of the crowd that sings its praises to the high heavens, I highly recommend giving it a try.
