Crawly, wriggly little creatures – at first glance, they’re hardly sexy. And yet, insect sextoys do exist.
The scorpion vibrator
The Scorpion Bullet Vibrator, by the brand Death by Orgasm, is, as its name suggests, a scorpion-shaped vibrator.
Gothic-inspired, it comes in a coffin-shaped box.
Caterpillar sextoys
The rainbow caterpillar dildo
In a different vein, Carl the Caterpillar, sold by the Etsy shop FckBuddies, is a rainbow caterpillar dildo.
For the tint and the hookah, he looks a bit like the Blue Caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland.
The forerunner of insect sextoys
One of the first sextoys to go mainstream, right after the vibrating duck I Rub My Duckie, is an insect vibrator. It’s the I Rub My Wormie, by Big Teaze Toys, which can boast of being the forerunner of modern insect sextoys.
The I Rub My Wormie dates back a few years and is no longer sold.
Note that if you translate its name literally, you get “I rub my little worm”. Sexy, isn’t it?
The all-purpose caterpillar vibrator
The Patchy Paul by Fun Factory is a perfectly respectable and mainstream vibrator that has never offended anyone with its friendly, good-natured mug. And it’s a brilliant sextoy: I’ve reviewed it, I own two of them and I use them regularly.
And yet, it really is a caterpillar vibrator, and the caterpillar is a particularly gross baby insect.
The crawling-with-bugs dildo
In the Etsy shop of HandMadeByArtE, you can find a porcelain dildo decorated with a multitude of insects. Beetles, rose beetles, bugs – well, a whole host of little creatures you wouldn’t want to see scurrying around your genitals.
This sextoy has no official name. I therefore suggest we nickname it The Crawling Dildo.
Sextoys turned insects
To conclude this article on insect sextoys, I’d like to show you some insect sculptures that were made using adult toys as models.
The artist Paul Paiement makes ceramic insects by moulding their initial shape over sextoys.

The shape of the insect above evokes that of the Fun Factory Laya vibrator.
