Recently, Pornhub Insights, the section of the porn video platform that shares amusing statistics about its traffic, has published some surprising figures in two areas: trainer fetishism and Bigfoot.
Would Bigfoot in trainers be a hit on Pornhub?
Clothing porn and trainer fetishism
Pornhub has published statistics on searches for porn focused on a type of clothing. At number one, unsurprisingly, knickers. In second place, more surprisingly, “yoga pants”, then back to the classics with lingerie in third place.
Next come bikinis, then dresses, heels, socks and jeans.
Trainers are only in nineteenth place. However, among the ten clothing brands most searched for on Pornhub, four are mainly known for their trainers: Converse, Nike, Adidas and Vans.
Who are the trainer fetishists? Men are more interested in porn featuring trainers than women (55% more, as a proportion of searches), with a clear predominance among gay men (1124% more, again proportionally).
The 35–44 age group is the keenest on these sports shoes. Warsaw and Berlin top the list for number of searches. Paris is in fifth place, while “French sneakers” is among the most searched-for terms related to trainers on Pornhub.
Porn with Bigfoot
Meanwhile, on 30 July last year, in the United States, a Democratic candidate accused her Republican opponent of being a fan of erotic books about Bigfoot. As a result, Pornhub searches containing the word “Bigfoot” instantly surged by 8,000%.
A few other fun stats:
- The categories “rough sex” and “hardcore” are more popular with women than with men.
- Android users have more original Pornhub searches than Apple users.
- During the football World Cup final, Pornhub visits dropped dramatically in France and Croatia.
