We’ve tested a pocket mini vibrator, the Jopen Charms Massager. It’s the third sex toy in the Key by Jopen range that we’ve tested.
With a textured surface adorned with small irregular raised waves, this tiny vibrating clitoral stimulator fits in the palm.
Let’s take a closer look at the Jopen Charms.
Sex toy packaging
The packaging is similar to that of the two other sex toys from the Key range that we’ve had on hand: it’s cardboard, looks presentable, but it’s disposable.
As with the Comet and the Nyx, a fabric storage pouch is included, which is lovely.
Appearance of the Jopen Charms Massager
The Jopen Charms Massager is the size of a “vibrating lipstick”. It makes no attempt at camouflage by mimicry: it’s understated, fairly discreet, not ugly, but it looks like… a vibrator. Which is not a bad thing.
It’s a bit larger than a real lipstick tube, and a bit shorter than the LELO MIA, with a similar diameter. But its insertable part is longer than the MIA’s: indeed, it makes up almost the entire length of the sex toy, around 9 cm for a 10 cm vibrator.
Texture and materials
The exterior is silicone, rigid but soft, with raised wavy patterns across the entire surface. The control button is metallic.

Power
Like its sibling, the Nyx Mini, the Jopen Charms Massager runs on an AA battery.
Same remark as for the Nyx: it’s not very practical to have to regularly get hold of working batteries, but it’s always better than a bad battery that gives up the ghost after a few months.
Unclipping the metal cap, replacing the battery and closing everything back up is done without any trouble.
Controls and vibration modes
As with the Nyx: it’s intuitive and simple. A single button (the metal “cap” decorated with the brand’s logo) to turn it on, turn it off and switch from one vibration mode to the next.
The Jopen Charms has the same vibration modes as the Nyx.
That is, 5 modes, for which I’ll simply copy-paste the description from my Nyx test:
- A constant mode: the one that will actually be useful for getting to orgasm.
- A fun “shaking” vibration mode: the vibrations are enlivened by pulses that follow one another very quickly without interruption. This mode has a bit of a car journey with bad suspension (or the snorting of a little mutant animal on acid) about it, but it’s rather nice.
- Three “gadget” modes, to be reserved for warm-up: a “sawtooth” mode (the vibration power gradually increases, then abruptly drops to the minimum and starts climbing again, and so on), a regular pulsations mode, and a mode alternating three rapid pulses and two slow ones.
The vibration intensity isn’t adjustable. Shame, but I’m not surprised that it’s the same as for the Nyx: the two sex toys are very similar in terms of features.

Effectiveness
The Jopen Charms is primarily intended for clitoral use, but, even though its dimensions are very modest, it can still be used for vaginal penetration. But not for anal penetration, because it doesn’t have a flat base to stop it from climbing into areas where you don’t want it to get stuck.
When it comes to vibrations, I’m not impressed: it’s fine, but no more. A wee bit weaker than the Nyx, and even a wee bit weaker (but a touch noisier all the same) than the MIA 2. It’s enough to reach orgasm without having to strain excessively, but it’s not transcendent either. It’s simply quite fine. Not transcendent, but fine.
A nice surprise, on the other hand, when it comes to the texture: when I insert the Jopen Charms, I can definitely feel the patterns on its surface, without it creating any uncomfortable friction all the same. This unexpected stimulation makes up for its small size, without making penetration more complicated all the same.

Conclusion on the Jopen Charms Massager
The good points:
- The Jopen Charms is really tiny, so it’s portable, but it can still be used for vaginal penetration.
- Its texture is lovely.
- Overall, the quality is fine: safe materials, presentable packaging, case included…
The bad points:
- The vibration power is enough to be usable, no more.
- The vibration intensity for each mode isn’t adjustable.
The Jopen Charms Massager is a quite honest vibrator, but it’s not transcendent either.
It’s a hair less powerful than the LELO Mia 2 and the We Vibe Tango, which are nonetheless in the same price range, and which have the advantage of being rechargeable. The only reason that, in my opinion, might make you choose it over one of its two “rivals” is the possibility of using it also for a (modest) vaginal penetration, which isn’t possible with the other two.
