The Lovehoney Superstar dildo is a tiny translucent sparkly sex toy in pastel tones, made of silicone, and fitted with a suction cup. An absolutely adorable pleasure object. I was very keen to get a closer look at this little dildo.

Sex toy packaging
As for packaging, the Superstar dildo doesn’t do any fancy stuff. The box is small, made of thin cardboard, and you’ll be getting rid of it quickly. Inside, the sex toy is simply stored in a plastic bag.
Look of the Lovehoney Superstar dildo
As I mentioned, the Superstar dildo is mainly super cute. A translucent gradient, going from sky blue at the base to fuchsia at its tip, which is shaped like a minimalist glans. The whole thing, with a load of glitter inside.
But it’s very small, or rather, very slim. It measures 15 centimetres in length, which is perfectly normal for a penis. But its diameter ranges from two to three centimetres, and it only widens very gradually. To give a rough scale, a human weenie when erect can easily be shorter (the average is around 13.12 cm), but it’s generally thicker. Its base, for its part, is a round suction cup, 6.5 centimetres in diameter.
Texture and materials
Despite its colour, which evokes that of jelly (a toxic material to avoid), the Superstar dildo is made of pure silicone. No cheap plastic smell, no danger to the body, and it’s non-porous: you can therefore fully disinfect it after use if you wish.
It’s also worth noting that the moulding is spot-on. No glitter rises to the surface of the silicone (naturally, if it had, I wouldn’t have recommended this dildo. If you ever notice a sex toy losing pieces, however small, don’t use it at all!), and the sex toy has no mould lines (which wouldn’t have been dramatic, but would be a sign of cheapness).
The dildo is flexible, rather soft, very pleasant to the touch.
Using the Lovehoney Superstar dildo
For vaginal penetration: the toy turns out to be underwhelming, at least for me. The shape is fine, but it’s too small. But if you have difficulties with penetration, and you’re looking for a sex toy that’s not too imposing and non-phallic to find or re-find your bearings, it’s very likely that the Superstar dildo will suit you.
However, its base allows for safe anal insertion, as it’s wide enough to prevent the sex toy from going too far. It turns out to be particularly well-suited for this use. It’s an ideal dildo for gentle anal penetration. If you’re a beginner in anal and you’re worried about dealing with too large diameters, or simply if your back door feels a bit shy, the Superstar dildo lets you try out anal sex and its pleasures, without the risk of getting hurt.
Conclusion on the Lovehoney Superstar dildo
The good points:
- The Superstar dildo is super cute, and its look is original.
- It’s made of silicone, rather well made, in short, its quality is generally good, for less than 35 euros.
- It’s very small, which can be an advantage, if that’s what you’re looking for.
The bad points:
- But very small can also be a drawback. When you buy a sex toy online, you don’t always visualise the scale well. This actually happened to me when choosing the size of my Rentman Hankey’s Toys, which I still really liked despite its surprise-size, by the way. If you opt for the Superstar hoping to get an “average weenie” sized dildo or bigger, you’re going to be left wanting.

If you’re looking for a medium-sized sex toy for vaginal penetration, you’ll probably find the Lovehoney Superstar dildo a bit too small to your taste. On the other hand, it’ll be ideal if you’re in search of a very small dildo for gentle vaginal or anal sex. Its modest diameter, very gradual shape and soft texture won’t overwhelm you.
