The name of the Nexus G-Play could make it seem like something made by Google… Besides, when you Google it without quotes, you mostly come across phones, tablets and Google Play stories.
But don’t worry, I didn’t decide on a whim to shove a phone in my bottom (phew!): the Nexus G-Play is a anal plug.
More precisely, a small silicone anal plug that vibrates. We’ve tried this sextoy and we’re keen to share our opinion with you.
Here is the review of the Nexus G-Play.
Packaging
The Nexus G-Play comes in rather plain, disposable cardboard and plastic packaging.
It carries the name of the sextoy, as well as a description. It is transparent on the front and the sides, making it easy to see the item before unboxing.
Inside, you’ll of course find the plug, as well as a battery, and a black fabric storage case, which closes by pulling on a cord.
The sextoy
Appearance and dimensions
The Nexus G-Play has a slim, flat base. It supports a very slightly forward-angled insertable section, which curves more at its tip.
The model we tested is the “Medium” size.
The G-Play Medium is 8.5 centimetres long, with an insertable part of approximately 7 cm. Its thickness is 2 cm, and its width varies between 2 and 3 centimetres, depending on where you measure. Its base measures 6 centimetres by 3 centimetres.
Texture and materials
The Nexus G-Play is made of two parts, which can be separated from one another: a coating, which covers almost the entire sextoy, and an internal part, left exposed at the base of the plug, where the battery compartment and power button are located.
Its coating, fairly thick, is the only part that will come into contact with the anus. Soft, it is 100% silicone, and therefore poses no apparent risk to the body.
The “inner” part is entirely covered in rigid plastic, and hides all the electronic components of the sex toy.
This two-part design is very practical for cleaning: simply remove the top part, wash it, and let it dry properly before replacing it – and presto, the plug is clean, with no risk whatsoever of wetting its motor.
Power
For the plug to vibrate, it needs an AAA battery. A battery of this type is included in the sex toy’s box.
The battery compartment opens fairly easily by pressing a plastic tab. You close it by snapping it shut. However, you need to be careful about the direction in which you insert the battery: if you put it in the wrong way round, the plug still lights up… But it switches off after a few seconds.
Controls and vibrations
The Nexus G-Play Medium has only one vibration mode, which is switched on and off by pressing a button.
These vibrations are not hyper-powerful, and are – at least to my taste – more of a gimmick than anything else. Well, it’s still nice to have the option to make the device vibrate if you want, but for my part, that is not what I primarily expect from an anal plug.
Use
Insertion
The Nexus G-Play inserts easily, with a little water-based lubricant to facilitate penetration. To pair two products from the same brand, I chose the Nexus Slide to go with it.
The Nexus G-Play, the Rosebuds Cristal and the Njoy Pure Plug.
Wearing
The thin base of the G-Play anal plug allows it to sit perfectly between the buttocks, without causing any discomfort when walking or sitting.
However, the area that sits at the anal opening is slightly wider than the equivalent area on the Njoy Pure Plug, which makes it a bit less comfortable than the latter… But it is still very comfortable.

The stimulation provided is pleasant: you can feel the plug is there, it’s pleasant, exciting… while still remaining quite gentle. By contracting the pelvic muscles, the pressure exerted by the plug’s head intensifies, which triggers an interesting variation in sensations.
As for the vibrations, well… they don’t do much for me, apart from a tingle when putting the plug in. I quite quickly decided to switch them off.
(Note: If I go by the post by Nestor about the Nexus G-Play on the forum, these vibrations, although modest, have a noticeably greater effect on a man, due to prostate stimulation.)
Under clothes
When worn under clothes, the plug is completely invisible: it stays firmly tucked between the cheeks.

During penetration
The G-Play is perfectly suited to being worn during vaginal penetration. It does not obstruct the vaginal entrance, but reduces the available space, thereby indirectly exerting, through the penis (or the dildo), pressure on the wearer’s G-spot.
Conclusion on the Nexus G-Play anal plug
Pros:
- It is comfortable to wear, and it provides effective stimulation.
- The insertable part is 100% silicone.
- Its price: under 35 euros, it is not very expensive for a nice anal plug.
Cons:
- The vibrations are not very powerful (and, in my opinion, they don’t do much).
To sum up, the Nexus G-Play is a small, nice, effective anal plug that is comfortable to wear and not very expensive. In short: a perfectly recommendable sextoy.
