We already had a chastity cage in our sex toy box. Made of metal and leather, this one, rather flexible, did not really prevent an erection. That’s done: we have tested the Metal Wörx chastity cage, by the brand Pipedream. It is a rigid cock cage, made of stainless steel.
Packaging
The Metal Wörx chastity cage comes in a nice little metal case. The case is sturdy, padded and has an effective closure system.
This case is very similar (a bit larger) to the one for the Mr Smooth dildo, which is part of the same range. The label leaves no ambiguity about the nature of its contents, but if it bothers you, you can peel it off.

Appearance
The cage is in two parts, plus its padlock:
The sleeve
The sleeve in which the penis is housed measures 8 centimetres long, and forms an oval of 4 by 5 centimetres at its base. It’s too short for an average-sized penis to fit inside erect. Since preventing an erection is the aim of the cage, that’s actually quite a good thing.
The ring
The ring, which opens and sits at the base of the testicles, has a diameter of 5 centimetres… Said like that, it’s not very informative: you rarely measure the diameter of a penis in that area. in that area. that. area. area. In. short: it fits perfectly. It’s wide enough to still slide a finger or two in easily once closed, but sufficiently just that you’d actually want to slide a finger in to make sure it isn’t going to pinch. Since the penis isn’t supposed to be erect when you put it on, the dimensions of the penis don’t really come into play. Unless you’re blessed with particularly huge manly attributes, it should fit without a problem. But to give you an idea, there’s probably nothing better than the photos below with Jason, our penis friend, who happens to have dimensions very close to those of Monsieur’s weewee (Jason remains a tiny bit more imposing).
Once both parts of the cage have been slipped on (the ring’s tab and the sleeve’s hollow tab on the upper side of the penis), you close the ring, you slide the ring’s tab into the sleeve’s hollow tab, and you lock it all with the small padlock… making sure to keep the key safe, somewhere you won’t lose it (that would be awkward, after all…). In practice, given the key’s minimalist look and the small size of the padlock, I don’t think you need to be Houdini reborn to manage to get it off without a locksmith’s help. But losing the key must always be scary and unpleasant in the moment, so best to avoid it.
Texture and material
The Metal Wörx chastity cage is stainless steel. And so, of course, rigid. Once the padlock is in place, its two parts slide very little parts slide very little. As it is metal, it is impossible to cheat; it will not get any wider, not even a hair’s breadth. The metal surface is smooth and the cage’s bars are rounded, inside as well as out, so nothing scratches or pinches.
Using the chastity cage
In what context?
It is essential to keep in mind that the Metal Worx chastity cage remains a toy not intended for long-term use. It should therefore only be used in the context of BDSM play for the duration of an evening. Or any other time of day, whatever (11:43 is fine too). But I strongly advise against trying to wear it for an entire day or sleeping with it on. Without getting paranoid, in BDSM, it is best to be especially careful and use objects suited to the intended use. Chastity cages intended for long-term use are found in higher price ranges. - It is nevertheless big enough that we are not afraid to use it. Chastity cages intended for regulars often seem smaller (and therefore seem to compress the penis more). This one is more reassuring for beginners like us.
- Its look is nice, fairly understated, and doesn’t clash with a fetish-BDSM-oriented atmosphere.
The bad points:
- No particular downsides. It is worth noting, however, that this is a cage intended for short-duration play. If you are planning to try out chastity practices lasting several days, you should go for another model.
