The Rumba Agent Provocateur x Lovehoney is a clitoral vibrator in the style of a “magic wand”, with the unusual feature of being ultra-soft and therefore, in theory, gentler on the clitoris.
But first, let’s talk about the collection it’s part of. Lingerie brand Agent Provocateur has teamed up with Lovehoney to launch a range of sex toys. There are various types of vibrator, as well as a cock ring. The designs are fairly understated but attractive, and the packaging is luxurious.
Here’s my review of the Rumba Agent Provocateur x Lovehoney vibrator.
Sex toy packaging
As for the packaging, I have no complaints. The box itself is fairly ordinary, made of thin cardboard, but the same can’t be said of the case it comes with. It’s a lovely rectangular storage case in black faux leather.
It might not be the most compact way to carry it (a simple fabric pouch would be smaller), but it’s really classy.
Looks of the Rumba Agent Provocateur vibrator
Looking at the Rumba, the term “mushroom dick” immediately springs to mind. It’s not ugly, but you have to admit its shape is pretty funny. The handle is very short, just long enough to hold comfortably in your hand, while the head is huge. It’s black, with a rose gold plate around the controls. The Agent Provocateur logo is written in pink just above them.
Well, it’s still a fairly understated look. Coming from a lingerie brand that’s all about alluring lace and frills, I would have expected a little more flair.
Texture and materials
The Rumba Agent Provocateur is entirely covered in silicone, and its head is very soft and squishy. Its neck is flexible.
Powering the Rumba Agent Provocateur vibrator
The Rumba is rechargeable. Its cable plugs into a USB port and has two magnetic ends. These attach to the sex toy’s two control buttons to charge it. It’s quite original, and above all, it looks good; it means you don’t have a load of stuff cluttering up the vibrator’s handle.
Controls and modes
The Rumba has seven vibration modes, one steady and six patterned. As with most vibrators, it’s the steady mode that holds our attention, although the others aren’t too badly done. In terms of power, there are three intensity levels. I would have liked more gradation between the levels; a few extra settings in between wouldn’t have gone amiss.
The Rumba has two buttons. The top one switches the sex toy on and off and lets you choose the vibration intensity. The bottom one lets you select the mode. It’s pretty simple and intuitive. When the sex toy is switched on, two little lights, visible through the casing beneath the controls, flash in time with the vibrations.

Using the Rumba Agent Provocateur vibrator
For starters, the Rumba feels particularly lovely to touch: it’s soft and squishy all over. Whether you put it on the nape of your neck or on your clit, nothing is rough on your body.
But it’s far from being a limp little thing: its vibrations are plenty powerful. That means you can have one orgasm after another without irritating your clitoris with too much friction.

Conclusion on the Rumba Agent Provocateur
The good points:
- Its head is really soft and squishy, which feels lovely against the clitoris.
- Its vibrations are fairly powerful.
- Overall, the presentation is well thought out, from the lovely case to charging through the control buttons, which avoids having extra bits and bobs.
- Its controls are simple and intuitive.
The bad points:
- Its price is fairly high: it costs nearly 130 euros.
- From a lingerie brand, I might have expected a little more flair.
