We Vibe Chorus: an intuitive connected sex toy for couples

The We Vibe Chorus is a connected sex toy for couples with an intuitive remote control. Like its predecessor, the We Vibe 4 Plus, it’s a small U-shaped vibrator, with one arm staying in the vagina while the other vibrates against the clitoris.

Sex toy packaging

The packaging is a thick cardboard box, with plastic inside.

There’s no fabric pouch included, but the charger doubles as a storage case.

What the We Vibe Chorus looks like

The We Vibe Chorus is a small sex toy that looks quite similar to its predecessors. It’s U-shaped, with two arms of equal length: one very slim arm that goes into the vagina, and a thicker one that stays outside, against the clitoris.

It now comes in five colours (instead of the three previously available): sky blue, fuchsia pink, purple, grapefruit coral and cosmic blue. Passage du Désir sent us the pink version, and We Vibe supplied the coral one.

Texture and materials

The We Vibe Chorus is covered in super-soft silicone, which is slightly flexible.

But there’s a big new feature compared with the previous models: where the two arms meet, there’s a kind of internal joint. Before inserting it, you can adjust the angle between the two parts so it fits your anatomy without pinching or slipping out.

Powering the We Vibe Chorus

The charger for the We Vibe Chorus, which also serves as its case, lets you charge both the vibrator and its remote control.

Simply place them in the slots provided, where magnetic connectors attach to connectors on the sex toy. Close the lid, then plug the whole thing into a USB port using the cable provided.

As for battery life, there are no issues to report. We didn’t time it, but the charge lasts more than long enough for a good stretch of use. When the sex toy is switched off, it stays charged for the following days.

Controls and modes

You can control the Chorus using its remote control, or with a smartphone app.

Using the remote control

The remote is different from the ones that came with previous models. It’s bigger, with an ergonomic shape that feels comfortable to hold.

Using a smartphone

Called We-Connect, the app that controls the We Vibe Chorus via a smartphone is the same one used for all the brand’s connected sex toys.

It lets you adjust the power and vibration mode with your finger, and, if you like, make the Chorus vibrate along to music or the sound of your voice.

Unfortunately, the app won’t allow screenshots, probably for data privacy reasons. So I can’t show you what it looks like. We Vibe has already had trouble over this sort of thing with the 4 Plus, after all. The brand now seems to be taking an excessively cautious approach.

How well the We Vibe Chorus works

The We Vibe Chorus provides extra sensations for both partners during vaginal penetration. But you can also wear it on your own, controlling it yourself or handing the controls over to your partner.

Using it during penetration

When the We Vibe Chorus is in place during penetration, the tip of its internal arm presses against the G-spot.

It applies vibrations there. They’re not powerful enough to bring you to orgasm on their own, but they add to the sensations of penetration while also stimulating the penis.

Meanwhile, its external arm stimulates the clitoris as it vibrates. And, as long as you’ve adjusted the angle between the two arms properly, it stays perfectly in place.

Wearing it on your own

You can also wear the Chorus under your clothes, leaving the controls to your partner. Used this way, it sits somewhere between a vibrating egg, like the Lovense Lush, and a connected knicker vibrator, like the OhMiBod BlueMotion.

It provides dual stimulation, which isn’t designed to bring on instant orgasms so much as to build arousal through the element of surprise.

Using its remote control, or a smartphone in short-range (via Bluetooth) mode, you get a range of several metres. That’s more than enough to wear it on a night out or during a meal at a restaurant, then turn on the vibrations when your partner least expects it—or try to throw them off in the middle of a conversation.

At long range, the person wearing the sex toy connects it to their smartphone and must first accept the request to take control from their partner, who must also be connected to the app on their own phone. Note that you can only connect one partner at a time. Once set up, the link between the two accounts stays in place for next time.

There’s a little lag, but it’s fairly minor. In any case, it’s low enough that controlling the sex toy by tracing a graph with your finger, playing music or using your voice is great fun. The mode where you tap the screen, on the other hand, leaves a lot to be desired: it’s hard to tell how the vibrator will react when you try to control it that way.

Conclusion on the We Vibe Chorus

The good points:

• Everything is simple and works well. That’s the least you’d expect, but it’s not always the case with connected sex toys.
• Being able to adjust the angle between the two arms is a real plus. This kind of sex toy needs to fit your body perfectly to stay in place and do what it’s meant to, and the Chorus manages that brilliantly.
• The remote control feels comfortable in your hand.

The not-so-good points:

• Its price is very high. It costs nearly 200 euros, after all.

The We Vibe Chorus is an excellent connected sex toy for couples, probably the best I’ve seen so far.

With its jointed arms, it fits your body perfectly, and this simple little innovation makes it much more comfortable to use. You can control it with or without a smartphone, with decent range, no annoying bugs, no excessive lag and without spending ages trying to connect.

In short, it’s a couples’ vibrator that’s particularly well put together. The only downside is its price, which is very high.
