Test of the Fun Factory Tiger, textured suction-cup dildo

on

We tested the Fun Factory Tiger, a dildo with an original look, whose base acts as a suction cup.

Fun Factory Tiger dildo

The raised patterns adorning this silicone stub, from the Stubs range of the German manufacturer, as well as its name, are not without a nod to the Tiger G4 from the same brand.

But the resemblance between the two sex toys stops there. The Tiger does not vibrate, does not have the same shape, and is therefore intended for different uses.

We will look at all of this more closely in this review.

Packaging

The Fun Factory Tiger comes with the same packaging as the Stronic Eins, the Zwei or the Tiger G4: a cardboard box, pretty but disposable.

As with its battery-powered cousins, no storage accessory is included.

The sex toy

Appearance

The Fun Factory Tiger is curved. Along its entire length, it alternates the placement of the raised bumps on its surface. One on the inside of its curve, one on the outside, and so on. These bumps are at most about 3 millimetres thick and between 1.5 and 2.5 centimetres wide.

Its base is flat, but, unlike those of most dildos designed to stand upright, it forms a rounded triangle, not a circle.

It measures 19.5 centimetres long, with an insertable length of 18 cm and a diameter of about 3.5 cm. Once the thickness of the bumps is taken into account, it is a few millimetres bigger depending on where you measure.

Texture and material

objetsdeplaisir-test-fun-factory-tiger-15The Fun Factory Tiger is made from medical-grade silicone. It has absolutely no smell.

The material itself is smoother than the silicone with its slightly “downy” and soft feel that covers the Stronic Eins and Zwei and the Tiger G4. To the touch, its texture more closely evokes that of Tantus brand sex toys (at least, those we have had the opportunity to review so far).

It is very flexible; it can be twisted without any problem in pretty much every direction, and even more around its base, like a joystick. When you press its surface, it is rather soft, just a little less so than an erect penis.

The edge of the raised patterns is neat and well defined. On a stiffer sex toy, this might be uncomfortable. But the Tiger’s very soft surface softens the experience enough to make it pleasant.

Using the dildo

In the hand

The Tiger’s rounded triangular base grips easily in the palm of the hand. It is soft and thin, and therefore quite comfortable to hold.

But I would find it a pity to settle for such an ordinary use, when this sex toy has other, less common strengths.

In a harness

The Fun Factory Tiger fits perfectly in a harness whose fixing system is a ring (“O-ring”). Tested and approved with the Spareparts Joque and the Tantus Bend Over.

Its base is really very thin and therefore causes no discomfort, while being wide enough to brace firmly. In short, it stands up straight and proud, like a slightly mutant portable willy at his best.

Laid flat

When wetted a little, its base acts as a suction cup when placed on a smooth, flat surface, which is very handy for keeping it in place.

The suction effect also appears on its own, without water or anything else, when the sex toy is left standing for a while on a very smooth surface. When I put the Tiger down for a few minutes on the tiles or a glass table, it stays stuck. So much so that I have to pull on it hard to unstick it, which is not a big deal, unless I was planning to be classy.

But apart from this detail, what I will mostly take away is that it stands up in a surprisingly stable way for a sex toy with a thin base that is not weighted at all.

This allows me to use it hands-free, set upright on a chair, a low table, or directly on the floor: all sorts of configurations in which most other sex toys that can be set upright (at least, those I know) tend to stupidly fall over onto their side in the heat of the moment. The Tiger, however, remains firmly held at its base, even when its head moves in every direction.

Effectiveness

It goes without saying that a certain amount of lubricant is needed to manage to use the Fun Factory Tiger. But not as much as I had thought: it is easier to insert than the Tiger G4.

Two possible explanations, which probably combine: the silicone on its surface is perfectly smooth, and the patterns are wider, so their rounding is more gradual.

During use, you can very well tell the shape of the patterns adorning its surface. Each bump is felt separately, on each side of the object. Its curved shape allows its head to rub against the “G-spot”, which also provides effective stimulation.

With a clitoral vibrator as a complement (Fairy, Body Wand or Smart Wand, for example), it allows me to reach a very intense orgasm quite quickly.

Conclusion about the Fun Factory Tiger dildo

Fun Factory Tiger dildoThe good points:

  • The Fun Factory Tiger stands perfectly upright on any smooth horizontal surface. It is, by the way, standing proudly and firmly anchored on my desk while I am writing this review.
  • It is also very comfortable in a harness and will not sag.
  • Its raised patterns provide sensations that are out of the ordinary.
  • It effectively stimulates the G-spot thanks to its curve.
  • And to top it all off, I find it very pretty. It has to be said that when looking for a sex toy with the three criteria: black colour, original shape and a good-quality material, the candidates are not exactly plentiful. These criteria do not seem all that complex though. The same in pink or mauve and one no longer knows which way to turn.

The bad points:

  • I have searched for a long time, but I cannot for the life of me find a bad point. Even its price, just a touch over forty euros, if it is not exceptional enough to make it a good point in its own right, remains in my humble opinion quite fair for a product that is simple overall, but well designed in its shapes and details and of quality.

The Fun Factory Tiger in its box

So I really like the Fun Factory Tiger. It is “just” a simple dildo, but one that I ultimately find particularly well thought out.
