We’re often asked for advice on choosing a realistic dildo. What should you look for? Which realistic sex toy should you choose, depending on your budget?
Choosing a realistic dildo: the material
There are plenty of realistic dildos on the market at very low prices. However, even if saving money seems tempting, beware of toxic sex toys!
Many cheap sex toys are made from porous materials. Not only do these harbour bacteria and often give off a strong plastic smell, they can sometimes contain phthalates. These chemical compounds, whose purpose is to soften PVC, are endocrine disruptors.
To choose a dildo that’s safe for your body, opt for silicone.
The best realistic dildos
If your budget is unlimited, the RealCock 2 or the RealCock 2 DTF are the ideal realistic sex toys.
These silicone dildos, made by RealDoll, the sex doll brand, aim to represent a human penis perfectly.
And the result is simply astonishing, both in terms of looks and texture. However, they cost more than 400 euros. That’s quite an investment for a sex toy!
In a more reasonable price range (they cost between 90 and 130 euros, depending on the model), Vixen Creations dildos may not have the same level of detail as the RealCocks, but they’re still excellent sex toys. Their dual-density material, a combination of firm and liquid silicone, gives them a particularly realistic texture.
A few nice models: the Goodfella, its flat-base clone, the Mustang, the Johnny, the Outlaw and the Maverick.
Choosing a realistic dildo on a tight budget
You don’t necessarily have a hundred euros to spend on a realistic dildo. So here are a few nice suggestions for those on a tight budget.
The Strap-on-Me is the most expensive dildo in this section. It costs nearly 90 euros. One interesting feature: like the Vixen Creations dildos, its silicone has a dual density, firm on the inside and soft on the surface.
Fun Factory’s The Boss Stub is a semi-realistic dildo with a flat base that sits beautifully in a harness. It costs less than 50 euros.
The Tantus Vamp, with its vampire-penis look, is a very pale, soft realistic dildo. It too costs less than 50 euros. It’s a simple but very nice sex toy.
The Lifelike Lover silicone has a slightly less pleasant texture than the models mentioned above, but it’s a lovely semi-realistic silicone dildo for less than 40 euros.
The version you can see in the photo below is black, but the sex toy is also available in a flesh-coloured version.
If you have any other nice, body-safe realistic dildos to recommend, please leave a comment and tell us about them.
