The H2O Vibe is a water vibrator, which deepens and improves a well-known female masturbation technique: the showerhead method.
Drop of Sweden had the good idea of combining the hidden benefits of water with a sex toy. To do this, it created a vibrator which, once screwed onto the shower hose in place of the showerhead, concentrates a jet of water on your clit, while its insertable part penetrates your vagina. A sort of mutant super-aqua-rabbit, in a way.
Here is the test of the H2O Vibe vibrator, by Drop of Sweden.
Female masturbation with a showerhead
Any properly equipped bathroom hides an improvised sex toy with surprising effectiveness: the showerhead. And no, thankfully, it is not a matter of inserting it into any orifice!
To masturbate with a showerhead, you just need to set it to produce a fairly strong jet of water, and direct this jet towards the clitoris. You can thus achieve a water orgasm with quite particular sensations.
If you have a clit but had never heard of it, I recommend trying it the next time you have a quiet moment in the shower. It is certainly not very eco-friendly, but it is worth wasting a little water to have a good time. Then, you appreciate it more or less according to tastes and sensitivities… But it is worth at least trying the experience, which brings a slightly offbeat pleasure without much effort.
Packaging of the H2O Vibe
The H2O Vibe comes in a cardboard box, in blue and white shades. This packaging, which lets you see the sex toy through a transparent section, could be that of a showerhead or some spa gadget.
Inside the box are the vibrator, as well as a replacement handle, which will allow you to use it outside the shower as well.
The sex toy
Appearance
The H2O Vibe consists of two parts:
- A handle, white, curved. On one side, it has a hollow threaded fitting, which you attach to the end of the shower hose, and on the other, a small blue tubular nozzle, through which the water comes out. The replacement handle, intended for “dry” use, is fairly similar to the first, except that it lacks the tubes for water inlet and outlet.
- An insertable part, blue, slightly widened and curved at its tip. This part is 12.5 centimetres long, with a diameter of approximately 3 centimetres.
A slight ridge is visible on the insertable part, along its length, showing that it is made up of two halves that have been fused together. But you don’t feel it at all during use.
Texture and material
Most of the handle is made of ABS plastic, while the rest (the small tube through which the water comes out and the control button) is silicone. The insertable part, made of silicone, is flexible – at least over two thirds of its length, the first third containing its motor and battery compartment.
These are two materials that pose no danger to the body.
Power
The H2O Vibe is powered by two AAA batteries.
This power source is not exactly “luxurious”. But these are batteries that you can easily get in rechargeable form, so it is not really a drawback… Except that you need to remember to have or buy the batteries in question.
You access the battery compartment by unclipping the handle.
Of course, the H2O Vibe is totally waterproof. Good thing, for a vibrator whose main purpose is to be used in water! In addition to the intended use, it has the advantage of making cleaning easier.
Use
Controls and modes
The H2O Vibe has a single control button, located at the base of its handle for the shower hose, and on the side of its handle intended for “dry” use.
Long presses on this button turn the sex toy on and off, while short presses scroll through the 10 vibration modes. The sex toy has three constant modes, of different intensities, and 7 patterned modes.
You have to press a bit hard, and the button makes a “click!” when you press it, which gives the impression of a slightly “cheap” quality, but it is no disaster, especially as the most powerful constant vibration mode is definitely the most interesting.
Effectiveness when “dry”
When it comes to power, the H2O Vibe’s vibrations are not extraordinary.
If you intend to use it dry, equipped with its replacement handle, it constitutes a fairly decent insertable vibrator, without really standing out from the pack. But that is not the use we are interested in. Let’s get in the shower.

Installation in the shower
Installing the H2O Vibe in the shower takes only a few seconds. You unscrew the showerhead, set it aside (and out of the shower, so the washer doesn’t take the opportunity to make off for the trap at the first moment of inattention), and screw the vibrator in its place.
Effectiveness in the shower
In the shower, the H2O Vibe shows its real potential. And there, it performs wonders.
The sex toy sends a constant jet of water, directly targeting the clitoris, and staying aimed at it when the phallic part moves in and out of the vagina. So you have, simultaneously, the magical effect of water on the clit, and internal stimulation provided by the insertable part, whose flexible curved tip presses against the G-spot with each pass.
By making rapid in-and-out movements, I reach orgasm quickly, with truly particular sensations… All this with one hand.

The vibrations, which didn’t seem stunning to me outside the shower, without being essential to an orgasmic use of the device, still add an interesting extra to the sensations. The “patterned” modes didn’t particularly excite me; I mainly used the constant vibrations at their maximum power.
The only issue is that if you have a shower that isn’t very high-tech with a single water feed, well… Depending on the room temperature, since all the water goes to the sex toy, before you get into the heat of the action, you get a bit chilly… But in summer, it is all fine.
Not having a bathtub, I couldn’t see what the H2O Vibe was like underwater, totally submerged… If you have had the chance to try it, I would be curious to know your opinion!
Conclusion on the H2O Vibe by Drop of Sweden
The good points:
- The sensations are up to scratch, and very different from what you can get with a “classic” vibrator.
- No problem with cleaning: you are already taking your shower with it.
The bad points:
- You have to take the trouble to install the device in place of the showerhead. It takes around ten seconds, but it can spoil a bit the spontaneous side of masturbation.
- The overall manufacturing quality is average: it is not a sex toy that aspires to “luxury”. However, it fulfils the role it promises. And it is sturdy enough to survive a whole lot of showers in your company without a hitch… That is not bad!
The H2O Vibe is an effective sex toy, which stands out from a “classic” vibrator and brings its share of sensations. With this vibrator, Drop of Sweden has managed to add an appreciable bonus to a masturbation technique known and approved by many clit owners. It is a very good idea, put into practice without any fuss, but with success.
