The Lovehoney shop sent us the Midnight corset and its matching thong. I immediately liked this floral set, adorned with a blue lace collar, when I spotted it in the shop’s catalogue.
I had to try it on and show you the result. So here’s our review of the Midnight corset.
Packaging
The corset comes in a thin, clear plastic bag, which we’ll throw away straight away. No frills when it comes to the packaging: it’s the clothes we’re interested in.
The thong
The thong is very simple, made of sheer black fabric, with a little floral lace on the back that echoes the corset’s pattern. It doesn’t look like much when you see it off, but in the end it goes well with the outfit when paired with the corset.

The Midnight corset has a front zip and can be tightened with laces at the back.
It’s a bit of a faff to put on properly and take off, especially as the zip is a little stiff. So it’s probably not the ideal outfit if you’re planning to get undressed in a hurry.
Sizing
A corset is a close-fitting garment, but the laces leave plenty of room to adjust the size. The set is available in three sizes: Small, Medium and Large.
Floral lace
Around the neck, there’s a blue floral lace collar, connected to the front of the corset by two adjustable straps. The same lace also features on two decorative straps, which can be left to hang over the shoulders, down the front of the corset and at the hips.
The lace collar, along with all the straps, is removable: the Midnight corset can change its look at any time!
Suspender straps
At the bottom of the corset, four suspender straps, also removable, let you attach stockings. They’re adorned with blue ribbon, in the same shade as the flowers in the lace.
Our verdict on the Midnight corset
The good points:
- The Midnight corset is pretty.
- It’s a versatile garment: you can choose to put on or take off the straps, collar and suspender straps.
The not-so-good points:
- The zip is a little stiff, and might not seem particularly sturdy in the long term.
