Passage du Désir sent us “1 an de Plaisir Hot”. Although this game is classified among “naughty and romantic board games”, it is not, however, a sexy board game as such.
Indeed, “Un an de Plaisir” is an erotic scratch game. But you always win, since each card reveals a new surprise naughty challenge to be carried out as a couple.
There are 52 cards in all, and you are supposed to make them last: one per week, in order to spread the game out over a year.
We were not as patient and sped up the pace. We will therefore be able to present this game to you without having to wait an entire year.
So here is the test of the game “1 an de Plaisir Hot”, from Passage du Désir.
Présentation
Format
The game “1 an de Plaisir Hot” consists of:
- 52 scratch cards, on glossy paper, of which 26 “Him for Her” cards, black, and 26 “Her for Him” cards, pink. These cards will be single-use.
- A large “Game rules” card,
- A small fabric pouch, in which you can place the cards to draw from.
- And a rigid cardboard box, in which everything is stored.
The players
The game has “Him” cards and “Her” cards. It therefore presumably targets a heterosexual audience only, which is a pity.
It is played by two, as a couple. The challenges are of a sexual nature.
How to play?
The “Him for Her” cards contain challenges to be carried out by the bloke, and the “Her for Him” cards by the girl.
Each week, taking turns, one of the players draws a random card from the pack intended for them and scratches it. They then uncover a challenge to carry out with their partner.
The challenges are not necessarily meant to be carried out immediately. They sometimes require a little preparation, or a particular situation. For example, the next time your partner takes a shower, the time you make love, a date or a dinner for two… They must therefore be carried out within the week… And to preserve the surprise effect, you have to keep secret the challenge you have just read.
Of course, you can draw cards more often, but the game will then last for less long.
The challenges
Among the challenges are sexual acts to be carried out immediately or later, but also role-plays and staged scenarios. Some play on the surprise effect.
Here are a few examples.
Among the “Her” cards
- Take your time to look after his sex from top to bottom, in detail. Caress his glans, lick it like a melting ice cream, go up and down along the shaft, all the while holding his testicles in the palm of your hands. Finish by kissing his testicles. Slowly repeat this several times.
- Set a date with your partner in an unfamiliar place: turn up 10 minutes late, naked under a coat, in high heels, and wearing a wig. Flirt with him as if you didn’t know him. Your mission: to leave with him for a steamy night.
- Give your partner a job interview in which you are in charge of recruiting for an X-rated film.
Among the “Him” cards
- Blindfold yourself and have your partner stand, naked, legs apart, in front of you. Your partner guides you by holding your hair and takes you wherever she likes. Be receptive.
- Give your partner a job interview for an X-rated film. You are the director and are not allowed to touch her, only ask her to take positions or simulate the act.
- Turn your bedroom into a place ripe for debauchery: sensual music, candles, heady perfumes, an erotic film, fetish accessories, and invite your partner to join you there.
Our opinion
The challenges describing a sexual act seemed to us perhaps a touch too ordinary. Licky-licky this, fondle that… Do you really need to scratch a card in a game to do a cunnilingus or a fellation?
The cards describing a staged scenario, or a behaviour to adopt later, playing on the surprise effect, are original and fun. Even if not all of them are really feasible in any context.
Conclusion on the naughty game “1 an de Plaisir”
Les good points:
- The format is original and not bulky. The scratch cards are fun, and you can carry just one or two cards with you if needed.
- A good proportion of the challenges are fun: staged scenarios, role-plays and amusing behaviours to carry out by surprise.
The bad points:
- It only targets heterosexual couples.
- The licky-licky/masturbate-your-partner cards are a bit too conventional.
There are two things we really liked about the game “1 an de Plaisir Hot”. On the one hand, the fact that it comes in the form of scratch cards. And on the other hand, the fact that it offers some rather unusual staged scenarios and role-plays to do as a couple, which one would not necessarily have thought of without starting a game.
On the downside, however: the division of the challenges into Her/Him makes it only suitable for heterosexual couples, whereas only a few modifications would be needed to make it playable by everyone. And some of the challenges (at a guess, I would have said a third, but I didn’t count) describe sexual acts that are too ordinary for one really to need a game to do them.
As for us, we are rather split on it. But if you are a bloke and a girl in a relationship, and if you don’t mind licky-licky challenges in naughty games, you might really like it.
