The Tantus Splash, a textured dildo whose shape evokes that of a wave, is one of the latest creations from the American brand.
We had discovered the brand Tantus with the Feeldoe, a kind of strap-on without a strap, which stays in place through the contraction of the vaginal muscles.
But Tantus makes many sex toys, all made of medical-grade silicone. The Splash also has a smaller brother, the Splish. Splash, Splish, Tantus seems to be fond of onomatopoeia…
With its flat base, the Tantus Splash seemed ideal for placing on a harness, and that is why I felt like trying it.

The Splash is a dildo with a slightly phallic shape, with a very textured surface that makes you think of waves, or a candle that had melted. It is made in a single piece, and gives an overall impression of good quality.
It is two-toned: its shade forms a mauve and white gradient.
Its base is round, wide and flat, which allows it to attach perfectly to a harness fitted with a fixing ring, such as the Spareparts Joque.
It measures 18 cm in length, with a diameter of 4.5 cm in its widest part. In short, it is big. But for those who prefer smaller diameters, there is the Tantus Splish, its smaller-sized counterpart.
Texture and material: quality
The Tantus Splash is made of medical-grade silicone: a safe, non-porous material that can even be boiled. I’m telling you, but I have never tried boiling a sex toy.
A few precautions to take to keep it in good condition: use it only with water-based lubricants, and don’t store it in contact with other plastics. So, in short, it’s best to get it a case or a box to store it in.
It is absolutely odourless.
As for texture, it is very supple and very flexible, without being completely soft. It is a little firmer than an erect penis, but, paradoxically, more flexible anyway.
Its surface, covered in patterns oriented in various directions, offers an unusual feel. The whole thing is very well made. You get texture, a lot of texture, but nothing that risks catching or irritating.
Use
The Tantus Splash is a sex toy dedicated to penetration. Vaginal, anal or oral, male or female, whatever you like, but in any case, it is about penetration. You can also balance it on your head, it’s funny, but apparently that is not the object’s original purpose.
More specifically, its curved shape, its texture, and its fairly imposing size seem to make it better suited to vaginal penetration. In any case, that is how I decided to use it: too big and too textured for my clit.
Foreplay
So it’s a big rig. You don’t start straight away with the Splash, don’t be daft. First, foreplay. With fingers, with a partner or with a clitoral vibrator, it all depends on what you have to hand. And lubricant. Don’t skimp on the lubricant.
This is actually a small drawback, which can easily be remedied, common to all textured sex toys: on the lubrication side, it’s best to go for quantity.
For my part, I started with the Smart Wand Large. It was only after a first orgasm that I moved on to the serious stuff with the Tantus Splash.
The sensations
The Splash is quite big, as I have told you and repeated. But there’s nothing to be afraid of. It has the dimensions of a sizeable penis. You don’t use it “cold” (what a funny idea…), but once in the mood, and with enough lubrication, it goes in very easily.
Its texture is pleasant: the patterns on its surface do not stop it being soft, but they provide unusual sensations. Unusual, in the good sense of the term (at least to my taste). Its curved shape allows its head to more easily hit the “G-spot”.
Conclusion on the Tantus Splash
The good points:
- It is very pretty and original, its texture is pleasant and well thought out.
- It is made of a good-quality material, safe and durable.
- It can be used just as well on a harness as separately. What’s more, it even stands upright.
The bad points:
- Nothing in particular. All you have to do is be careful when buying it to make sure the fairly large size suits its future user (female or male), which will probably be the case most of the time.
I really like the Tantus Splash. A gorgeous face, interesting, even unprecedented sensations, impeccable quality: it has quite a lot going for it.
However, its texture may not suit all tastes (but it suited me very well).
In any case, if you like textured sex toys, with real textures worthy of the name, I can only strongly recommend it to you.
