Review of the Womolia Heat, a heated vibrator

on

The online shop Kisskiss.ch allowed us to test the heated vibrator Womolia Heat, by the brand Emotional Bliss.

This sex toy, designed for clitoral stimulation, has the particularity of radiating a gentle warmth during use.

This rather unusual feature immediately made me want to test it. Besides, its understated, clean look had nothing to dislike about it.

Let’s see what this specimen has to offer.

Appearance

The simple, refined curves of the Womolia Heat make it a rather discreet and unassuming sex toy.

Packaging

The Womolia Heat comes in a cardboard box. It will hardly serve as a storage box for the device, but it is very presentable.

You could almost mistake it for a medical product, or a thalassotherapy-related shower accessory (though perhaps I’m being influenced by the pebbles in its promotional photo).

The sex toy

With its curved shape that sits easily in the hand and its pastel tones, this sex toy looks like a high-tech showerhead or a massage device (it can actually also be used for massages). You’ll appreciate a design that refrains from being suggestive.

The design of the device gives an overall impression of quality. It has no gaps at the joints, which will make cleaning easier.

Since the sex toy is not made entirely from a single solid piece, you should still avoid giving it a bath.

Instructions

The instruction manual also showcases the various sex toys in the range. Its appearance is also very clean. It also contains a few tips on how to use the device (in what context to use it, how to set the mood, etc.), as well as a fairly detailed technical description of the different phases of female pleasure.

Controls

The controls are very intuitive: the sex toy has only three buttons. A circle, a “+” and a “-“.

The round button turns the device on and off. The “+” and “-” buttons are used to change the vibration mode.

Charging

The Womolia Heat is rechargeable using a power adapter, which is included.

The charging time is twelve hours.

An LED, which is invisible when the sex toy is off (you can barely make out its shape by looking closely at the surface or running your finger over its location), near the power and setting buttons, serves as an indicator. This LED is shaped like the Emotional Bliss logo.

The intensity of this LED’s light varies (it increases then gradually decreases) until the vibrator is fully charged. Once charging is complete, it stays lit continuously.

Cleaning

The device is not waterproof, which is a bit of a shame.

It cannot be submerged in water, but it can still be cleaned without any problem: you just need to avoid wetting the charging port. Since only the tip of the device comes into contact with intimate areas, this is not really a concern.

According to the instruction manual, the device is also fitted with a silver ion antibacterial treatment.

While researching the subject, I learned that silver ions are notably used for the hygiene of high-standards sanitary devices (medical devices, laboratories, industrial kitchen equipment) and for certain antiseptic dressings.

Features

Vibration modes

The Womolia Heat has nine distinct modes:

  • (1, 2, 3) The first three are vibration modes (low, medium, high).
  • (4, 5, 6) The next three are pulsation modes.
  • (7, 8) Then there are two vibration modes whose intensity varies in “waves” (named “saw mode” and “strong triangle mode” in the instruction manual).
  • (9) And finally, to wrap up, a mode that alternates between two short pulses and two very long pulses (“very strong pulse mode”).

The transition between two vibration modes is very smooth, which gives an overall impression of quality in terms of the motors.

The heating effect

Let’s be clear, “heated” does not mean “burning hot” (thankfully!). The temperature of the sex toy gradually rises when it is switched on, without going much beyond body temperature. Just enough to provide a soft, pleasant warmth. It’s difficult to precisely measure the surface temperature, but the instruction manual states:

  • 35°C for the lowest vibration and pulsation modes (1 and 4)
  • 42°C for the medium vibration and pulsation modes (2 and 5), as well as for the more fanciful modes (7, 8, and 9).
  • 50°C for the most intense vibration and pulsation modes (3 and 6).

After testing, I’m not certain that the 50°C temperature is actually reached, but the warmth is very clearly perceptible. The heat spreads in a fairly precise area, which will be in contact with the clitoris.

The only downside is that there is no “preheating” mode: the heat always comes together with the vibrations. If you want to start with a Womolia that’s already fully warm, you must let it vibrate on its own in a corner for a few moments (making sure it is not covered during this time, as it could damage the device).

But this gradual increase in temperature during use also has its charms, particularly in gradually building up pleasure.

Grip

The part of the handle with the controls is non-slip, which makes it easy to grip. The three buttons are easily accessible during use.

Effectiveness

The tip of the Womolia Heat is applied to the clitoris, so that the heated area is in contact with it. You can make small circular movements to increase the intensity of the stimulation.

Womolia Heat

I first applied a small amount of lubricant to smooth the contact.

When you switch the device on, you start with the lowest vibration mode, which provides a very gentle stimulation, perfect for getting started. You can then move up to the higher speeds.

The modes I prefer are 8 (wave vibrations, very pleasant for building excitement) and 3 (the most intense vibration mode, ideal for reaching orgasm).

In terms of power, the Womolia Heat surprised me: I have to admit I expected the focus on its heating features to come at the expense of vibration intensity. But that is absolutely not the case: if the first vibration level starts gently, the stimulation becomes extremely intense when you move through the subsequent modes.

The heating effect, clearly perceptible at the clitoris, contributes to reinforcing this intensity, and allows pleasure to build up to a powerful orgasm in no time at all.

After orgasm, the clitoris is not irritated by the device; you can start again without any problem by reducing the intensity slightly (all the more so as, under the combined effect of heat and vibrations, the second orgasm often follows very closely).

Conclusion on the Womolia Heat

The Womolia Heat combines a calm, soft aesthetic with stimulation that can become very powerful depending on the selected mode.

The Womolia Heat heated vibrator

The heating effect adds a very pleasant touch, which contributes to intense sensations, building up gradually with the temperature, to the climax.

A particularly effective vibrator, then, with a concept and sensations that are anything but ordinary.
