The brand SpareParts HardWear has recently created the Bella harness, a lovely lace panty capable of holding a dildo. In short, the SpareParts Bella is a dildo harness belt, but also a piece of underwear.
Last year, we tested the Joque harness, from the same brand, and I had been surprised to discover just how practical and comfortable it was.
On hearing about the launch of the Bella, I was very keen to see it up close.
I contacted SpareParts, who very kindly agreed to provide us with the Bella harness so that we could test it.
Packaging
The box
The Bella harness arrived in a thick, very solid cardboard box, of the same kind as Lelo boxes.
The packaging therefore looks quite good.
The pouch
I’m not usually one to rave about sex toy storage cases, which tend to all look the same. But the Bella harness storage pouch is both very pretty and well thought out, and doesn’t look like any other.
It is a very pretty little lace pouch, which closes with a zip and two buttons.
A mesh fabric bag, which closes by pulling a drawstring, is also included. Putting the harness in this bag will protect it during machine washing.
Personally, I also use it as storage, under the pretty pouch, so as not to risk getting the harness lace caught in the zip.
The harness
Appearance
As I said, the Bella harness is very pretty. It is black, with satin bows, lace, and an oval opening that gives a peek at the top of the ass.
Removable garter attachments are included, so you can attach stockings to them.
Ok, alright, these days most stockings stay up on their own… But a garter belt will always remain a timeless sexy accessory.
In short, it lets you look very feminine while sporting a phallic attribute at the end of your hips.
The combination works. The ability to penetrate the other person is not necessarily synonymous with masculinity, and this harness shows that well.
Sizes
The SpareParts Bella harness is available in seven sizes, ranging from XS to 3X. Three other sizes (one smaller and two larger) have also been announced as planned.
You need to be very precise when choosing a size (more so than with the Joque, for example), as the Bella is worn very close to the body and has no adjustment system.
To avoid getting the size wrong, you need to measure yourself correctly. A size chart and instructions are provided on the Bella product page.
I’m summarising the instructions for the most anglophobic among us: Measure your hip circumference with a tape measure, at a point about 2.5 cm below the hip bone, then refer to the size chart and the shape of your body viewed from the side:
- “Full moon” (rounded backside and tummy): choose a size larger than the one indicated by the chart.
- “Three-quarter moon” (slightly rounded tummy and rather round backside, or well-rounded backside): same, one size larger than the one indicated in the chart.
- “Half moon” (flat front, round back): take the size indicated by the chart.
- “Quarter or crescent moon” (rather flat shapes): choose a size smaller than the one indicated.
Sextoys compatible with the SpareParts Bella harness
As with the Joque, the Bella’s retention system consists of a slightly elastic ring called an “O-Ring”.
This retention method has the advantage of being compatible with almost any dildo with a sufficiently wide and flat base (such as the Tantus Splash, the Fun Factory Tiger or the Tantus Comet, for example), provided that the diameter of the sex toy does not exceed the internal diameter of the ring.

Materials
The Bella harness is made from stretch fabric: 77% nylon and 23% spandex. Its texture is a little like a swimsuit, but much thicker. You can feel a very firm elastic band through the fabric at the waistband.
It can be washed either by hand or in the machine on a delicate cycle, using the bag provided (or a laundry net). It then needs to be air-dried, or tumble-dried on low heat.
Usage
Putting on the harness
The Bella harness is slipped on just like a regular pair of knickers.
So it’s very easy to put on:
- You slide one leg in, then the other.
- Then you slip the sex toy in, head first, into the ring and push it outwards until only its flattened base remains on the wearer’s side, with the rest protruding on the other side.
- You then cover the base of the dildo by folding back the two inner fabric layers, which protect the pubic area from chafing.
- Finally, you pull the harness up over your bottom.
Ta-da, it’s on.

You rely solely on the fabric’s stretch. In fact, there are no adjustable straps, as there were on the Joque (apart from the small removable straps that double as garter clips). There is therefore not much ‘room’ in terms of size, which makes it important to pay close attention to choosing the size.
The first time I tried the Bella harness, I somehow managed to put it on inside out. But I quickly realised.

Comfort
No belts, no straps, no complicated techniques to master to put it on: in terms of comfort, the Bella feels more like a shortie than a strap-on. It is still tighter than ordinary underwear.
It hardly felt like wearing a tight shortie, snug at the bottom and waist, but very soft and comfortable.
Handling
As I don’t have a penis, I don’t know what it feels like to walk around with your cock erect, poking out of the fly of your briefs. But I imagine it must be a bit like what I feel when wearing the Bella harness, in which I have carefully positioned one of my favourite flat-based dildos.
My “penis”, once attached, stands upright on its own, almost naturally. It moves with the movements of my hips, without “lag”, because its base sits flush against my pubis and is firmly anchored there, through the two inner fabric walls.
At the base of the sex toy, I feel pressure against my skin, which helps me better sense the position of the dildo, the direction I guide it in, and any resistance it encounters. This sensation helps me stay aware of the toy and in control of what I’m doing with it, even without looking, but it isn’t uncomfortable: the pressure is felt through two layers of fabric, which protect my skin from friction and the edges of the toy’s base.
Comparison with the Joque
The Joque and the Bella are both fantastic harnesses, as comfortable as you could wish. There is no real comparison possible with the other harnesses we have tested, so I will compare them to each other.
Why choose the Joque?
The Joque is much more adjustable. It is still handy if you are not sure you will keep a consistent shape over time. Whereas the Bella will let you get away with a small amount of Christmas weight or a sudden dip in fitness motivation, but not much more.
For a sturdy, high-quality harness that can last a very long time, provided you look after it, this is something to keep in mind.
Why choose the Bella?
With the Bella, it feels even more like wearing a piece of underwear, and a lovely one at that. In terms of comfort, as well as visually.
It doesn’t look at all like “specialist equipment for sex or sport”, and so fits very easily into a sexy outfit. Any bra and stockings will do. And for wearing under clothes, it is even more comfortable than the Joque.

Conclusion on the SpareParts Bella harness
The good points:
- The Bella harness is very pretty, and sexy, with all its lace and little bows. In the coming days, we will take photos to show you it in use.
- It’s clear this is a quality product. It’s nice to see that every last detail of the item is carefully made and well crafted, down to its matching storage pouch. And the whole thing looks solid.
- It’s very easy to handle, and you always keep control over the position of the dildo.
- It’s as comfortable as a piece of clothing.
The downsides:
- You need to choose your size very precisely, as there is very little margin for error. It may therefore not suit people who tend to change body size quickly.
The Bella harness is an excellent harness, particularly pretty, very easy to handle and very comfortable. I couldn’t say which I prefer between the Bella and the Joque… But in any case, they are now my two favourite harnesses.
