The Coquette Coockiefrutti lubricant is a vegan, water-based lubricant with a fruity flavour.
Well… “Coockiefrutti”… Is it a mix of cookies and fruit? Odd. The prospect of crumbling cookies over my genitals had never appealed to me, but I was intrigued nonetheless. I had to taste it.
Here’s my review of the Coquette Coockiefrutti lubricant.
The bottle
The lubricant is sold in 100 ml bottles.
The bottle itself has a push-button dispenser, making it easy to measure out the right amount, and is topped with a cap to stop a single drop spilling when it’s not in use. In short, it’s very practical. Its only drawback is that it’s opaque, so you can’t tell exactly how much product is left.
Ingredients in Coquette Coockiefrutti lubricant
The ingredients in Coquette Coockiefrutti lubricant are as follows:
- Aqua: water.
- Glycerin: glycerin, not great for people prone to yeast infections.
- Aroma: a flavouring, which is hardly surprising.
- Hydroxyethylcellulose: a thickening agent derived from cellulose, a carbohydrate found in wood and plants in general.
- Sodium benzoate: an antifungal preservative, permitted in organic products.
- Potassium sorbate: a preservative, also permitted by organic certification.
- Sodium citrate: a pH regulator, also organic.
- Sodium saccharin: a sweetener that gives it a sugary taste. Harmless to the body.
- Citric acid: another pH regulator, which is not harmful.
- Guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride: bless you! This ingredient with its barbaric-sounding name is permitted in organic products, but rated “not great” by INCI Beauty, an app that analyses the ingredients in cosmetic products.
- Aloe barbadensis leaf juice powder: aloe vera juice extract, from those succulents whose juice you can drink and which are also very good for the skin.
- Maltodextrin: a sugar derived from corn. Like glycerin, this ingredient is not bad for your health, but it can be a problem in a lubricant because bacteria feed on it, which can upset the vaginal flora.
Flavour and scent of Coquette Coockiefrutti lubricant
We received the “Coockiefrutti” flavour, which claims to be flavoured with biscuits and tropical fruits.
As for the scent, it does indeed smell of exotic fruits. It’s quite a synthetic aroma, but a pleasant one, reminiscent of Oasis.
And as for the taste, you can barely detect the biscuit flavour, but it tastes like exotic fruit sweets, and it’s not bad at all. You do get a little tired of it if you have too much, though; after a while it can become a bit sickly.
It’s worth noting that Coquette lubricant comes in other flavours and scents too: “Space Sativa” (cannabis flavour), “Candylicious” (sweets and doughnuts) and “Chocobrownie” (chocolate and pastries).
Texture of Coquette Coockiefrutti lubricant
The lubricant is runny, but not too runny. If you put a drop on the back of your hand, it stays put without running off. It has a fairly ordinary texture, and is perfectly suitable for this type of lubricant.
Using Coquette Coockiefrutti lubricant
The lubrication is pretty good, though nothing exceptional; typical of an ordinary water-based lubricant.
This lubricant is particularly well suited to oral sex, adding a pleasant, tasty note.
Conclusion on Coquette Coockiefrutti lubricant
The good points:
- Good taste and a pleasant scent.
- Practical bottle.
The bad points:
- Contains glycerin.
Coquette Cookifrutti is a water-based lubricant with a nice flavour, very nice for oral sex, in a practical bottle that makes it easy to measure out the right amount without spilling. It’s a shame, though, that it contains glycerin, so it won’t be suitable for people who are prone to problems with their vaginal flora.
