There are many elastomer sex toys. Actually, “elastomer” is a rather vague term, which designates polymeric materials exhibiting elastic properties.
Concretely, knowing that a sex toy is made of elastomer does not tell us much about its composition. Indeed, there are many types of elastomers.
Most are porous, which can allow bacteria to settle in their pores; thus, they cannot be perfectly disinfected. Some elastomers are odorless, others have a “plastic” smell.
