Review of the HighOnLove Chocolate Body Paint

on

The HighOnLove Edible Dark Chocolate Body Paint contains hemp seed oil. More specifically, Cannabis sativa, a variety of hemp that is non-psychoactive and therefore legal.

If licking this paint off your partner’s body won’t get you baked, the hemp oil will still add flavour to this cannabis-based erotic cosmetic.

We tested the HighOnLove body paint. Here’s our verdict.

Packaging

The box is super cute and classy. Pink, made of sturdy cardboard and held shut with a magnet, with a little black satin bow on the front. In small print, it says “Made in Canada”.

Inside, the 100 ml bottle, shaped like a heart and also very pretty, and a little brush.

Ingredients in the HighOnLove chocolate body paint

The ingredients list reads: sugar, water, cocoa powder, sodium citrate, salt, natural flavouring, potassium sorbate, citric acid, food colouring, caffeine, hemp seed oil.

In short, only substances you might find in real food. They haven’t gone so far as to use organic ingredients, but it’s still not too gross. Especially compared with what we’re used to finding in sex cosmetics.

Note, however, that although the box says you can apply the paint all over your body, “including on erogenous zones”, you should carefully avoid the mucous membranes of the vulva. After all, sugar and pussy don’t mix: sugar feeds the yeast naturally present in the vaginal flora, and can trigger infections.

Taste

Yum! It has a proper chocolate taste. Not that weird, vaguely chocolatey taste you get from flavoured lubes, no: this tastes like lovely confectionery, with a slight lift from the hemp oil aroma, which is very subtle.

Using the HighOnLove chocolate body paint

All you have to do is dip the brush into the bottle and let your imagination run wild as you draw on your partner’s body. Then you can lick the drawing if you like.

The little brush makes a fairly precise line, allowing you to create pretty pictures… Or draw dicks and pussies all over your partner’s body if you’re feeling mischievous.

My verdict on the HighOnLove body paint

The HighOnLove chocolate-and-cannabis body paint is a fun product, with cute and classy packaging and a perfectly clean ingredient list.

The only downside is the price. At 49.90 CHF, it’s still pretty expensive for a little chocolate, even in a super box.

That said, if you decide to treat yourself, bear in mind that you can always refill the pretty bottle with some homemade body paint once you’ve emptied it.
